Oh jeez loaded comment alert. Good thing this is easy. Decline just the HTM BasinScout auto-forecast, based off the geology/analogues. So could be adjusted up but probably +-20% confidence interval, so 195 MBbl lower bound. I have a long soak dataset but closest pads are Conoco which are just not even close to comparable pads to Tourmaline. Direct offset Petronas pad had a 30 day soak and looks pretty similar both on a time- and cum-basis. To the north at Nig Creek, the Tourmaline pad (A-085-B/094-H-04 pad) had longer soak than CNRL pad to east, and kind of inconclusive. Broader Montney = minor positive correlation as to be expected. If I really wanted to do it right I'd color by water saturation or BWV and focus on oil/liquids window but, this is Twitter, sorry.

@ShaleTier7 Nothing is as exciting (terrifying) as hanging a decline on inclining profiles. Do the offsets clean up similarly? I'd be interested to see WCT profiles (incl load water, time and cum) vs. offsets and crossplots against frac-to-onstream lag. Moderate soak may accelerate peaks.

COULD WE BE WITNESSING A TSN TURNING POINT FOR TOURMALINE'S NEBC CAPITAL ALLOCATION. Rumour out of the locker room is that plug n' perf has been promoted to the first line, while sand is suddenly logging heavy minutes. And folks, COULD WE BE SEEING RESULTS? Tourmaline made a notable break from the class playbook in 2025, sending liquids-focused drilling over the boards and putting dry gas drilling on the bench. Not a move you usually see from head coach Rose but this is the sort of mix-up you want at $1.50 AECO. Assistant coach McKinnon may now be running the wider spacing, bigger completion system against these liquids-rich opponents. Early returns suggest it is working: oil rates are materially ahead of last season, and Tourmaline finally collecting a few top 10 well rings. Something you didn't see often from this team. It's fairly early to call this a TSN TURNING POINT but the A-010-D/094-A-13 pad is giving us hope. Drilled at >2.5 mile in LL and completed with OVER ELEVEN THOUSAND TONNES OF PROPPANT, we could see Tourmaline climbing up the leaderboard if they keep this kind of traction on the ice. Seeing some 200+ MBbl EURs in the books with line-of-sight to 300+ MBbls next season. This sort of mix-up from a franchise-staple team is exactly the kind of thing worth watching. Now we see whether the new-look lineup can carry this momentum into the fall against its toughest opponent yet: negative $1.50 AECO.

@EMmademelogin Exactly the kind of thing that someone who didn't own their water disposal well would say.

🚨🚨🚨 THIS IS NOT A DRILL 🚨🚨🚨 PARAMOUNT RESOURCES LTD. HAS LICENSED TWO (2) NEW HEAVY OIL MULTILATERALS AT HOOLE. These multilaterals targeting the Wabiskaw directly offsetting CNRL's Pelican Lake polymer flood project. They are to be drilled with room for injectors, with the "YES" box ticked for future enhanced recovery schemes. This may be the most consequential moment in upstream, nay, CANADIAN history.

Pretty much anyone with a pulse within 200 miles of Calgary is laser-focused on Ovintiv new infill pad at Wapiti. Will be interesting to see how the infill wells (dashed line) they just spud impact the performance of the parent wells. The parent wells don't have much EUR left, and the PV10% has gotta be pretty low, so with Ovintiv cost control this could actually be an epic outcome if they add 200 MBbls/well *incremental* for $5MM a pop, given surface facilities are already there. Would be robust F&D and could see some fresh new life on this asset acquired from NuVista last year.

Feels like any glimmer of hope that a Deep Basin sale was on the table, will be zero'd after Cenovus crosses 1MMBOE/d. Once they're there, no going back below.

Absolutely. Full credit to him. The first time I met @rockcreekfreak he was stepping out of the Presidential Suite at the Fairmont in Calgary. We ended up in the elevator together (I was just delivering room service). I figured he was just another guy in town for the model convention until his phone lit up with three brokers arguing over rig utilization rates in the Duvernay. He looked at me, half-smiled, and said, “You long the drillers yet, or are you still pretending pipes matter more than steel?” Five minutes later we were at Major Tom (he booked the whole floor) sharing a beef dip (wagyu). He proceeded to walk me through the entire directional drilling landscape off the top of his head. Longer laterals, pad density inflections, capital discipline cycles, robust deep Nisku upside. I was shocked. He had to leave to board his G650 (tail number PHX95), but I got the jist for the trade. As I said, I went all in with 100 shares. Last I saw him he was in the back of a Rolls Royce headed to Sunwest. I think me mouthed to me "TSX Vegas" baby before leaving. I'm entirely not sure, but I'm glad I listened to him.

Paramount is definitely like 500% going to drill the Nisku at Elmworth, right?

The 2026 high river flow season is over. The Springbank Reservoir was activated for the first time, helping protect Calgary during heavy rainfall. As climate change brings more extreme weather, we'll keep investing in resilience. Enjoy the Bow and Elbow safely this summer, wear a life jacket, and check conditions first.
