Why is it, that all through Europe there are wind turbines right across the landscape. All of the people I have spoken to about them, don't have an issue with them and say they hardly notice them. So why is there so much contempt for them, here in Australia.

The thing that makes countries beautiful is they are unique. The reason tourists travel the world to experience other 'ways of life'. Europe apart from a few select countries has lost its identity, like Australia. The landscape might be different, but the culture is just a jumbled mish mash of the same thing. Preserving identity is not a bad thing ....
