@AustinPowersBug @PETFEDRAW @theficouple That was an inaccurate report. She took over 4 seconds before impact. FSD is peace of mind and I challenge you to take it for a test drive or at least check out on YouTube. Everyone I show it to cannot believe it. You would be in the same boat, respectively of course. Cheers

When you bought the $50,000 Tesla Model Y to save on gas & maintenance. Then you learned: - It loses 20-35% of its value by year 3 - It loses 55-58% of its value by year 5 So by year 5 you lost $35,000+ of value? ....Congrats on saving ~$1,000/yr on gas.

@TimRhode5 @theficouple I loved the car, but the fuel issue upset me, I spent more $$ charging than gas would have cost me. It’s a nice car, fuel is close, but still not reliable.

@theficouple Dude have you driven one? Love my Tesla. Just went on a trip from Reno Nevada to Mount Hood Oregon. Found plenty of places to recharge. Never mind the gas I'm saving. It's just simply fun to drive. I disagree on this. Love your guys's work though. :)

@theficouple You apparently missed the feature called FSD with which you will earn the entire value back plus 5x the value of the car. Nevermind the safest car in the world. If the only reason you bought was to save on gas than you are dumb as fuck. But thats clear now so its easy to see.

This escalated FAST… A customer tried to return a $3,000 item at Best Buy, but the cashier refused, and things quickly turned tense. Situations like this can go from calm to confrontational in seconds, especially when big money is involved. Who do you think is actually in the wrong here, the customer or the store? And should stores be more flexible with returns on expensive items?

@DillonLoomis It was disengaged 4s before wrecking. Not even enough time to slam on the brakes.

I would love to see Tesla sue the sh** out of @FoxNews for this one. This type of blatant, inaccurate, misleading, slanderous "reporting" cannot stand $TSLA

@FredLambert I’m still trying to understand why the car was in Full SenD mode while going up an overpass that’s 15mph.

Tesla fans using the “4-second disengagement” as a gotcha are missing the forest for the trees. Yes, the driver was technically in control of the vehicle at the moment of impact. But she was in control because FSD was already failing by driving too fast ahead of this sharp turn — it was heading straight into a concrete barrier at highway speed with no sign of correcting. Everyone who has frequently used FSD or Autopilot and paints this 4-second disengagement as a “gotcha” moment is being disengenous, and that includes Elon Musk. I have tens of thousands of miles on FSD, and I’ve experienced the system coming too fast into a turn at least half a dozen times. We’ve said this before and we’ll keep saying it: the problem with FSD isn’t what happens when the driver is paying attention and the system works. The problem is what happens when the system gives you every reason to trust it, and then suddenly doesn’t work. The driver has to recognize the failure, assess the situation, decide on a correction, and physically execute it, all in less time than the system needs to create the danger. Musk and Tesla’s propagandists can point to the logs all they want. The video shows what actually matters: FSD approaching a standard highway curve at full speed with zero indication it was going to navigate it. That’s the failure. Everything that happened after, including the panicked disengagement, is a consequence of that failure. The framing that this was “manual driving, not FSD” is technically true for the final 4 seconds and deeply dishonest about the full sequence of events. It’s exactly the kind of liability shell game that courts are increasingly rejecting, as that $243 million verdict makes clear. Tesla created the system, sold it as “Full Self-Driving,” and profits from the ambiguity. At some point, it has to own the consequences.

@donnyyoung Hm, I’m a bit more conservative, will only buy things that aren’t exclusive to a particular store. Furniture, shipping/storage is so much more difficult.

@AustinPowersBug I actually did really well with used furniture auction from Costco. I really thought brand new furniture from Target would be a banger. Lesson learned.

This has been a serious miscalculation on my part.👇 — Update on my Target kids’ furniture liquidation auction. Maybe my mistakes can save you some frustration. I paid $1,955 for 45 units of new in-box kids’ furniture from Target. Retail $7,980. I priced the items at approximately 60% of the retail price, honestly thinking it was a great deal and that I would leave some room for negotiation. Crickets. After 2 weeks I haven’t sold a single item. I’ve had a few folks inquire, but no bites. So I made some timelapse videos of assembly hoping to draw some attention and show off the products. Still nothing. So, what’s left to do? Fire sale. I’ve dropped prices to 40% of the retail price, hoping to get ANY traction and clear out my inventory. I’m ready to move on to the next thing. Number one priority at this point… make my money back. Hoping that this auction will be more than just an educational exercise for me. I’ll keep you posted. — Sharing my wins, losses, and struggles. Follow me @donnyyoung as I learn in public.
