@helpingmom1965 @AceHarold1937 I worked out at the Pit as well but it would have been the mid 80’s when Don was a star in the major leagues. They had a sign along the lines of “No sauna, no pool, just iron.” Or something like that. It was super affordable (for college students).

@AceHarold1937 When I was a student at the University of Evansville, I used to work out at a place called the pit, right next to Don. It was incredible to me how gracious he was, and how much he stretched rather than lifted weights per se.

Field of 68 has been doing job rankings for conferences submitted by the schools. Curious how the MVC ones come out. I’m guessing it gets voted something like 1. Belmont 2. Drake 3. Illinois St 4. Murray 5. Bradley 6. SIU 7. UNI 8. Indiana St 9. UIC 10. Valpo 11. Evansville

@TSeghetti11 @WyattWheeler_ Evansville definitely cares if they are good at basketball. I think as a small private school they may not have the same resources as some other schools, especially money to retain players.

@WyattWheeler_ I think Valpo has more support. Facilities aren’t as good but I just don’t really think Evansville cares if they’re good as basketball. I feel like people will vote more resources and NIL where is kind of where my head is at I think. I think 1-5 are pretty close though.

KENTUCKY BMV EMPLOYEE FIRED OVER ILLEGALS Melissa Moorman, a former clerk at the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC), has filed a lawsuit claiming she was wrongfully terminated after exposing a scheme where co-workers allegedly sold driver's licenses to illegal immigrants. Moorman worked at the KYTC Department of Vehicle Regulation from October 2022 until her dismissal in January 2025. She discovered the fraudulent activity in fall 2024 when she was invited to join the scheme. Moorman reported the illegal activity to her supervisor, prompting a federal investigation. However, she later found out that her login credentials were used to issue the licenses when she was not at work. Despite her efforts to report the misconduct, Moorman was terminated, while her supervisor retained his position. Moorman's attorney,Garry Adams, told Fox News that the scheme endangered public safety and that Moorman should have been commended, not fired. The fraudulent operation reportedly involved selling licenses for $200 each, occurring four to five times daily over two years at multiple branches across Kentucky. The KYTC sent letters to over 1,500 recipients, warning them of license irregularities. In response to the scandal, Kentucky lawmakers, including Senate Transportation Chair Jimmy Higdon, have called for an extensive investigation.
