Earlier today, I arrived in Cape Town, South Africa, to take part in the Spier Dialogue 2026, an important event centred on the future of Africa and the urgent challenges facing our continent and the globe.
The Spier Dialogue occurs at a crucial time as Africa grapples with significant issues in governance, democracy, economic inclusion, urbanisation, migration, and leadership. However, it also highlights the vast opportunities presented by the energy and creativity of our young population.
As leaders and stakeholders gather from various regions, I look forward to partaking in insightful discussions, especially as I have the privilege of addressing attendees tomorrow on policies geared toward growth.
Africa’s future should not be characterised by poverty amid abundance or by division instead of development. It is time for us to transition from consumption to production, from divisive politics to politics built on competence and compassion, and from mere promises to tangible progress that serves everyday citizens.
Upon my arrival, I had the opportunity to meet with the Nigerian community in Cape Town for a heartfelt discussion about the recent challenges affecting African expatriates in South Africa, resulting in over two hours of fruitful dialogue.
I remain dedicated to advocating for a New Nigeria and a New Africa—one where governance genuinely serves the people, where the youth are equipped with education and opportunities, and where leadership is founded on integrity, service, and sacrifice.
A New Nigeria POssible. -PO

Kayode Fayemi started with President Tinubu during the NADECO days. Tinubu brought him into Ekiti State politics from the UK and supported his elections heavily, with Lagos State resources. After Fayemi initially lost, Tinubu meet with Justice Ayo Salami where something were exchanged in between hands so the judgment could favour Fayemi. The ruling was later delivered at the Court of Appeal, Ilorin where Fayemi was declared the winner of Ekiti State 2007 Governorship elections.
Fayemi remains one of Tinubu’s most loyal allies to the core and should never be giving a chance, even to meet with leader of NDC.

In just 3 years in office, President Tinubu has been deliberate and strategic in opening Nigeria up to nations that can truly unlock major trade deals, rather than pursuing aid-related diplomacy.
Here are the top 10 nations President Tinubu has visited:
UAE, China, Brazil, India, Netherlands, UK, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, France, and Germany.
Most of these engagements revolve around:
infrastructure
energy
ports
gas
mining
manufacturing
logistics
capital inflow

Niger Govt budgets Fresh N1.5bn Budget For Tables, Chairs At Government House Guest Houses after budgeting N1.6bn for same last year
The Niger State Government has come under scrutiny after budget documents revealed plans to spend another N1.5 billion on executive tables and chairs for guest houses behind the Government House in Minna.
According to documents reviewed by Sahara Reporters, the 2026 approved budget includes funding for the “Provision of 28nos Executive Tables and Chairs for Additional 17no Guest Houses Behind Government House.”
The allocation comes after the state reportedly spent about N1.625 billion between January and September 2025 on the “Provision of Twenty-Eight number executive tables and chairs for additional seventeen numbers Guest Houses behind government house.”
The report noted that while billions were allocated to furniture and guest house projects, only N268 million was spent on “construction/provision of water facilities” within the same period, while markets and parks reportedly received just N93 million.
The budget also contains a N2.1 billion allocation for the “Construction of Additional 9no. Guest Houses, Minna,” alongside renovation projects within Government House.
Sahara Reporters also questioned another N1.514 billion reportedly spent on road construction at Suleja International Market between 2024 and September 2025.
However, the platform claimed visits to the market showed “no evidence of any road project matching the scale of the claimed spending.”
According to the report, “there was no indication of road construction work” at the site, with only drainage excavation and limited concrete structures visible.
Traders within the market also reportedly denied knowledge of any major road construction project in the area.

BREAKING NEWS: ₦20 MILLION CHALLENGE FOR ANYONE WHO CAN BRING 10 ROADS OTTI BUILT IN 3 YEARS IN ABA.
Yes, today, the 17th day of this fact-given challenge, I, Engineer Tony Emelogu, pledge ₦20,000,000 to anyone in Abia State who can provide verifiable evidence of 10 roads that Governor Alex Otti built from scratch to Completion in Aba since he took office 3 years ago
Yes, you head me right. I mean ₦20 million, real money, for real roads, not propaganda roads, and I am not bluffing about it. The money will be deposited into your account within 24 hours of providing evidence of the 10 roads.
Why the challenge?
This challenge has been necessitated because of Otti Wallers, who comes to my page to hurl insults, without bringing any other road Otti has done, except the PH road, which Ikpeazu also started
Now I beg you, please bring evidence and get rewarded for it.
Let this be proof to Ndi Aba that this man Otti has done nothing to match the level of funds he has received from the FAAC and JAAC accounts since he assumed office. The money he gets is well over 60B per month.
Kai! Otti, #60B monthly can do a lot for Abians in this present economy, stop giving us excuses.
Furthermore, let some of these ignorant people who are busy making excuses for Otti see below what Ikpeazu achieved during his first 4 years in office. Let them see that, with over ₦60B in allocations, Otti has not done better than Ikpeazu in 4 years, despite monthly allocations of less than #4B. So abusing me for saying the truth is not in your best interest. Therefore, I challenge you all to prove me wrong, and I'll reward you.
So if you can bring 10 Roads Done by Alex Otti in Aba within 72 hours of this publication, you will receive #20 million naira in your account within 24 hours.
But if you can't, then let me tell you what Ikpeazu achieved in 4 years as a leader who knows the job and cares for the people.
Dr Okezie Victor Ikpeazu is the first governor to deliver roads using rigid pavement/cement technology. Some of these roads were commissioned during his first 100 days in office, and all were achieved in his first 4 years in office.
My people, go and verify these roads; they are there and not hidden.
1. Umola Road – 12+ years old, no potholes
2. Ehere Road – 12 years standing strong
3. Ukaegbu Road – still solid after 12 years
4. Kamalu Road – still standing
5. Omini Road – still serving its purpose
6. MCC Road – still standing
7. Ochefu Road – still solid to date
8. Owerri Rd off Okigwe Road – go verify
9. Ibadan Road, Ndiegoro, Ngwa Road – still strong
10. Abiriba Ring Road & Umule Road
11. Tonimas Road. This is proof on the ground, not on paper
So, my people, Ikpeazu didn’t just build these roads; he broke some jinxes while doing them
He broke the jinx of perennial failure on Aba Road, Umuahia
He Fixed Afo Ibeji, Umuahia
He Rescued Ife Obara, Ama Ikonne, Ehere, Umuola, and Ukaegbu in Aba
These roads were once a notorious death trap, but he made them work.
The real fact is that the former Governor introduced the rigid pavement technology as the solution to Abia’s repeated road failures. That’s why those roads are still standing years later.
So here’s my question to Otti Wallers
In 3 years, which jinx have Otti broken?
What 10 roads can they point to and say, 'Otti built this'? See it.
Please don't give excuses now, and no fake press releases. Just give me 10 roads with Photos and location as evidence. Bring it on and win the prize.
It's #20 million, and it is on the table for Ndi Abia to grab
But if you can’t produce 10 roads, maybe it’s time to admit that talking is easy, but building is hard.
Ikpeazu didn't just talk; he built. He didn't blame; he worked, and he didn't take, he delivered. He set the standard that Otti enjoys today, and he takes praise from people who do not know the truth.
My dear Governor Otti, leadership isn’t about excuses.
