@jasonmbarnard @seosmarty I get the point that nobody was optimising for LLMs 10 years ago. But I think @jasonmbarnard may have had a 10 year head start think about optimising for brand search - 3bn data points later he has definitely done more research & experimentation in this area than anyone I know.

@seosmarty I built Kalicube Pro back in 2015 to manage Brand SERPs, then it evolved for Knowledge Panels and now it have evolved to LLMs So I get a bit obsessed about the Algorithmic Trinity and educating these algorithms like children :)

How consistent are URLs inside of Google's AI Overviews? Here's what I saw inside the Semrush data set: 🔴 Of all the keywords studied 0% showed the same URLs across 30 days 🔴 91% of all AI Overview URLs were removed at some point 🔴 Only 43% of those removed URLs ever returned to the AIO 🔴 96% of AIOs studied saw at least 1 domain change over 30 days 🔴 The avg AIO URL shows for just 3.87 consecutive days Is targeting Google AI Overviews still worth it the same way? I felt like something was missing from the AIO conversation. Yes, it's good to know how often they appear. Yes, it's good to know about organic result overlap. But if you don't know if there's a real chance for CONSISTENT URL placement how worthwhile is focusing on an AIO? (For the record, we still don't know the CTR on AIOs - which also an important data point!)
