We have castigated the Police severally on this issue but I think it is also important that we use the unfortunate d*ath of that Boy in Ibadan from an irresponsible Police stray bullet to pick up some lessons as Parents. You can never be too careful but there are some behaviors you should never exhibit at all talk less of in the presence of your Children and one of them is irresponsible driving. Apart from setting bad example, you are also needlessly endangering your life, their lives and other people’s lives. You are no longer in control as you could get into an accident or you could get shot at by an irresponsible trigger happy Policeman. People mistakenly breach the Law all the time and that’s fine but how are you intentionally driving on a one way and you have your children in the Car? That apart, Police stopped you, you refused to stop, you instead rammed into different vehicles just to avoid taking responsibility for your actions. You did all these with your Children in the Vehicle watching and most likely, scared before the unfortunate incident actually happened. May God bless the soul of the deceased but I know that the Father is probably blaming himself right now too.
