@2Hugh2Mungus I always thought it looked good on a Kia K5 GT. 90% of them are that color. Perfectly decent car, but horrible look on anything nicer like the cars you posted.

@messedupcars It's an O2 sensor. It's always an O2 sensor. How in all these years have they not just added an O2 sensor light and a gas cap light? Check engine light is the boy that cried wolf.
English

@RJRenyth @simpsons_DG That was the episode where the nuclear inspectors come to the plant and put Homer into a van with a simulator control desk
English

@simpsons_DG I remember more to this scene where they wondered how he could've done it because there's no radioactive material lol
English

@CountryFoo @FenixAmmunition You don't need coffee to make a living
English

@FenixAmmunition Now go buy a gallon of coffee from a store and tell me how much it is. Gas, although up in price by a lot, is still relatively cheap compared to how its produced. Coffee is the real story.

@GoFSchmidt32 @_trowter @crewedave1 @BurnedBlade @L4Z3R37H @engineers_feed There would be air speed, because the plane would move forward, no matter what the conveyor was doing. The plane's engines are acting on the air around them and the wheels are free spinning.
English

The conveyor doesn’t counter the engine thrust.
In order for the plane to take off it needs lift.
Lift is achieved by gaining sufficient airspeed under the wings.
The thrust from the engines would, on a normal runway, cause the wheels to roll forward progressively increasing airspeed as the planes travel speed increases.
But since the thrust from the engines only causes the plane to roll forward, and does not directly provide air speed for lift under the entire wingspan, the plane will just continue to roll on the conveyor faster and faster while there is no change in air speed, or lift across the wingspan.
The only way a plane on a conveyor could actually take off is if it had a headwind of approximately 100mph or greater. And in that case almost any plane could take off anywhere regardless of conveyors, ground speed, or engines. The plane would act as a glider in this case.
Planes need airspeed and lift to achieve flight.
Engines and wheels only aid in providing thrust. Think of a semi truck with a jet engine flooring it down a conveyor that matches its speed exactly… if the truck driver rolls down his window, will he feel the same breeze he would feel if he was rolling down the drag strip? No. There is no increase in air speed.

@revloth @FinancialPhys Those older cars aren't necessarily made to handle that high ethanol content.
English

@FinancialPhys If it's available in your area and you have a car older than 2001 88 octane E- 85 is marginally cheaper where right now in Pennsylvania the cheapest 87 I can find is $4.30 while E15.88 where it's available is $3.79.
English

At what price per gallon is it no longer profitable to go to work?
Breaking911@Breaking911
BREAKING: U.S. gas prices climb to an average of $4.23 per gallon, the highest level since 2022.
English

@the_gpc_ good shot even though it was an inside job by the US Gov't. 🙄
English

@jmwilt21 @coaiecrete You can and should also advocate for self driving cars but until they reach level 3, they're irresponsible to promote to someone who is unable to drive normally.
English

@coaiecrete @AutismSyrup I'm a big advocate for public transportation, but downplaying the importance of self-driving cars to regions lacking public transportation isn't the way.
English

@jmwilt21 @coaiecrete If you can't drive you can't use tesla driver assist functions either, you're still responsible for the car
English

@coaiecrete It's just that your reply doesn't take anything away from the importance of FSD and other self-driving cars.
Not everywhere has good public transportation, especially in the states. So it's not a slam on Tesla or self driving cars that they are filling the gaps in the market.
English

@thwolff3 @saintjavelin Maybe the president shouldn't've ordered the police to shoot protesters and then flee the country
English

@AutismSyrup @saintjavelin When there's a so- called "Revolution of Dignity" and the day after your preferred party is gone, your comrades forced into migration, imprisoned or dead.
English

The fact that people are calling THIS a war crime but had nothing to say when Russia was bombing apartment buildings full of sleeping families or hunting civilians in frontline cities is actually insane to me.
A country defending itself from invasion is NOT a war crime. An invader getting killed on someone else’s land is literally just called CONSEQUENCES. And i cannot believe we still have to explain this in 2026

An entire Russian squad gets wiped out by a single Ukrainian drone
English

@migrantshan @michaeljknowles Its not funny to wish or hope for the death of someone
English

@saintjavelin This isn't a ukrainian drone, Ukraine cannot afford arms. The country was bankrupt by 2010. This is a NATO proxy war fought with US and German taxpayer money, promoted by ukrainian fascists who have turned against their own people - like fascists have always done and always will.

@Qbiteeth @BiankaB12 Winter air is already way too dry, why would you try to dehumidify even more?
English

@BiankaB12 Unless you are in an unusual climate, about the last thing you want to do indoors is "humidify the air" in winter You need to dehumidify by opening windows in the morning.
English

An europoor here 🙋♀️
I have a dryer, several balconies AND a yard. During winter, I still dry my clothes on a rack in my bedroom, because it humidifies the air + smells of fresh laundry when I go to bed. During the summer, I dry them outside in the sun.
A dryer is not that expensive and most households can afford one. Most people that have them, still dry their clothes on a rack more often than not.
Juanjo Valiño@juanjovn
Peak europoor is having to dry our clothes like this in my living room
English

@toolmaakersson @BiankaB12 Mould would only be a danger at really high humidity levels, in the winter humidity can get down to 5-10 %, the humidity from the laundry is just helping your skin .
English

@BiankaB12 Please, not in your bedroom.
You're encouraging mould pores in the air while you sleep.
Massive invite to respiratory & lung issues.
Keep in out of way utility room or living area
English

@DolioJ It does cross it. Why would people laugh at that?
English

This is pretty close to crossing the line.

@AutismSyrup @Pyrorufus @TheRealJChubby I have something against billionaire pedophiles with a monopoly.
English

Bill Gates was seen as one of the most evil people on the planet in the 1990's. Coincidentally during the Epstein years he spent billions of dollars laundering public opinion so people thought he was a good billionaire (not possible). It's good people now think he's evil again.

@kezottle @punkscores It's pretty nice for stuff like Excel spreadsheets because I can just tell it what to do instead of watching an hour long tutorial on YouTube on how to craft the perfect formula

@punkscores I don't really bat an eye if I see someone using it for hw or smt honestly like idk bro ur loss ig
