Anyway, if you're an autistic person who falls outside the culturally accepted 'look' of autism (ie. not a cishet white man with a penchance for trains and numbers), then please know I love you and also we're spectacular 🤗

If you stand for racial justice, you must hold space for the self diagnosed in the disability community. You cannot honestly look at the statistics of those who are denied care and respect in medical settings and think that diagnoses are easily accessed by the marginalized.

@QueerlyAutistic I appreciate this thread. As a cis-het Autistic woman, Autistic Pride Day makes me uncomfortable. I fully believe Autistic Pride Day should exist, but the timing is definitely wrong.

My feelings around Autistic Pride Day are complicated af, mainly because it takes place during Pride month and yet isn't focused on LGBTQIA+ autistics folks, and I've seen the creator aggressively refuse to listen to LGBTQIA+ autistics about the issue.

My employers are running a live virtual event using #zoom and we want to make it as #accessible as possible. Do you have a way to auto-caption within zoom? #Accessibility #Disabled #Captions
