@Avaloner @amazingatheist @ThrillaRilla369 I disagree. I think the extreme countermeasures to Covid caused a mass psychosis in which otherwise healthy people felt sick due to a placebo effect. Isolation and stress also caused sickness.

@cammakingminds @m0rdecaiCS The trolley dilemma requires you to ask questions. If your reasoning is 5 is better than one it means you are basing your decision purely on the numbers. This can lead to a situation where you kill a 10 year old to save 5 99 year olds.

@m0rdecaiCS Then discussions about it should include explicit labels about the peoples ages history and relationship to the lever-puller. As typically presented, it is a non-question. Choice doesn't exist and 1 is less than 5. It's only an interesting topic after you add your own context.

I knew Elon Musk would end up stabbing himself in the foot with this kind of satirical sharing posting edgy memes about sensitive historical events like the atomic bombings. Surely this will irritate Japanese public opinion and business partners, especially since Tesla is actively expanding there right now. He will likely lose business in Japan, a country that technically leads the world in high-tech cars. I’m not sure Elon or Tesla will do much for them when they already have dozens of car and motorcycle brands. You crossed the line with this tweet. I know you used to be just racist and all that, but now you’re making jokes about innocent people who were bombed with a nuclear weapon?

You just need 4 brain cells to realise it's just a slop filter at the end of the day, it can make somethings look 'shinier', but it completely takes away from the art direction and is literally making it up based on the best average

NVIDIA has confirmed that DLSS 5 its like a “filter” and works by taking two main inputs: - A single rendered 2D frame (the normal color image the game produces) - Motion vectors (data showing how objects move between frames) It does not get access to deeper game data like 3D geometry, depth buffers, or material properties. The AI looks only at the flat image and motion information, then guesses details about the scene, such as skin, hair, fabric, characters, and lighting.

This isn't generative AI in the sense of stealing work and pumping out images. It's filling in pixels in video games and improving lighting and shadows, upscaling and so forth. DLSS has been around for years now, it's bizarre to get all huffy with 5.
