તમિલનાડુમાં સત્તાના નવા સમીકરણો રચાયા. સુપરસ્ટાર વિજયની પાર્ટી TVKને કોંગ્રેસનું સમર્થન! અભિનેતામાંથી નેતા બનેલા વિજયની પાર્ટી 'તમિલગા વેત્રી કઝગમ' (TVK) ને ઓલ ઈન્ડિયા કોંગ્રેસ કમિટી (AICC) એ સત્તાવાર રીતે સમર્થન જાહેર કર્યું TVK ના પ્રમુખ સી. વિજયે સરકાર બનાવવા માટે કોંગ્રેસ પાસે સમર્થન માંગ્યું હતું, જેને કોંગ્રેસે સ્વીકારી લીધું છે. આ ગઠબંધન પેરુન્થલાઈવર કામરાજ, થંથાઈ પેરિયાર અને ડો. બી.આર. આંબેડકરના સામાજિક ન્યાય અને બંધારણીય આદર્શો પર આધારિત રહેશે. આગામી સ્થાનિક સ્વરાજ્યની ચૂંટણીઓ અને લોકસભા ચૂંટણીઓ માટે પણ બંને પક્ષો સાથે મળીને લડશે. લાંબા સમયથી તમિલનાડુમાં DMK અને AIADMK નું વર્ચસ્વ રહ્યું છે. વિજયની લોકપ્રિયતા અને હવે કોંગ્રેસના સંગઠનાત્મક સાથથી રાજ્યમાં એક મજબૂત ત્રીજો વિકલ્પ ઉભો થયો છે. આ જોડાણ પરંપરાગત દ્રવિડિયન પક્ષોના વોટબેંકમાં મોટું ગાબડું પાડી શકે છે. દક્ષિણ ભારતમાં પોતાની પકડ મજબૂત કરવા માટે કોંગ્રેસે એક લોકપ્રિય ચહેરા (વિજય) નો સાથ લીધો છે. કામરાજ (કોંગ્રેસના દિગ્ગજ નેતા) ના શાસનકાળને ફરી જીવંત કરવાની વાત કરીને કોંગ્રેસ રાજ્યમાં પોતાની જૂની ઓળખ પાછી મેળવવા માંગે છે. વિજયની ફેન ફોલોઈંગ યુવાનોમાં પ્રચંડ છે. કોંગ્રેસ જાણે છે કે રાષ્ટ્રીય સ્તરે રાહુલ ગાંધી અને રાજ્ય સ્તરે વિજયની જોડી યુવા મતદારોને આકર્ષવા માટે માસ્ટરસ્ટ્રોક સાબિત થઈ શકે છે.
