Young and inexperienced consumers should not assume that this is a good thing. Samsung restricting or disabling Odin mode can sometimes lead to irreversible consequences. For example, if a future firmware update from Samsung causes abnormal overheating, excessive battery drain, camera malfunctions, or removes a feature you rely on, the absence of Odin mode means you will no longer have the ability to roll back to a previous version. In that situation, you would be forced to live with those problems indefinitely.

@evleaks @DigitalBlerd @joeXmadre I just assume everything is politically motivated now. Either you're paying into the protection racket or you're making business decisions specifically to prevent the Tangerine Turd from shit tweeting about you.

@DigitalBlerd @joeXmadre @Avitus2187 FWIW, sounded like a mostly business-minded rationale: the brand sells poorly, I was told. Not saying politics played no role, just that someone who would know opined that the devices are not popular among the company's customers.

Some good news and bad news regarding Moto. The Razr Fold will supposedly be very aggressively priced, starting at $1500 in the US. But at least one stateside carrier may be cutting Motorola devices out of its lineup completely: AT&T is reportedly considering saying, um, Goodbye, Moto, with the Razr flip phones poised to be the first to go.

@RegularVillain @NoahKingJr The false equivalence is done on purpose to sew distrust in Signal so people won't use it, because it is, in fact, the most secure and private messaging app available.

@NoahKingJr This is a false equivalency. WhatsApp and Telegram are currently monetizing and sharing user data contained in messages. Signal is not. Signal is, by far, the best option for private communication.

Kash Patel chartered an FBI jet and spent $400,000+ of American tax dollars to fly to the Olympics — literally partying with Team USA in Italy while the country faces real crises and rising costs. So who the hell signed off on sending him there at taxpayers’ expense? Why was this considered “official business” when he’s standing in locker rooms and chugging beer? This isn’t a vacation rumor — it’s documented taxpayer flight time and public backlash.

If you're feeling lonely on X, just post about how Telegram isn't an encrypted messenger. It'll reliably fill your mentions with 40 accounts named 'Priv8User420', all sharing made-up cryptography facts and Telegram memes. It's the closest thing X has to a support group.

Signal is OG but, is he's purposely trying to misinterpret how Telegram works and Durov's entire positioning... or he's just unaware and does it to boast his Signal over Telegram? yeah, there is a central server that stores encrypted messages for Telegram. Almost every messaging app does this. People are aware of it.

Founder of @signalapp, @moxie Marlinspike on Telegram:   "Telegrams not a private messenger. There's nothing private about it. It's the opposite. It's a cloud messenger where every message you've ever sent or received is in plain text in a database that telegram the organization controls and has access to it" "It's like 'Russian oligarch starts unencrypted version of WhatsApp', a pixel for pixel clone of WhatsApp. That should be kind of a difficult brand to operate. And somehow, they've done a really amazing job of convincing the whole world that this is an encrypted messaging app and that the founder is some kind of Russian dissident, even though he goes there once a month, the whole team lives there, and their families are there." " What happened in France is they just chose not to respond to the subpoena. And so that's in violation of the law. And, he gets arrested in France, right? And everyone's like, oh, France, but I think the key point is they have the data, like they can respond to the subpoenas where as Signal, for instance, doesn't have access to the data and couldn't respond to that same request.  To me it's very obvious that Russia would've had a much less polite version of that conversation with Pavel Durov and the telegram team before this moment. "
