Some big comic companies will do their best not to give you actual numbers for the books sold. They send a check with a reference number but never the copies sold so we can check against their accounting. Transparency does not exist for a reason, folks. Things need to change.

I'd argue that his book title displays a complete lack of understanding about how social media actually works.
His reporting is sound but his branding was an ironic Nazi reference and that's why they were able to mass-report his account.
If a chatbot or a person in a call center using algorithmic translation sees a report against a guy promoting a book that has "reich" in the title, it's real easy for them to click that "ban" button.
Everyone I know that's engaged in ironic hate-speech on the internet as an adult has payed a price for it. It's a stupid way to communicate and it gave Gil's critics enough ammo to deplatform him.
Also, the title is offensive to nerds.
Thiel and Musk and Altman aren't technologists, coders or inventors, they're finance bros.
It seems like a journalist should be able to tell the difference between a scientist and a shill but his title is saying that he couldn't figure it out.
Here's me criticizing these guys without resorting to ironic nazi lingo.

Gil is the first journalist I knew that understood what was/is happening on the ground in San Francisco and beyond regarding the Network State. He understood it as the threat to the United States, and to democracy, that it is.

He's a self-described progressive journalist who decided you use ironic Nazi rhetoric as the branding for his book.
But part of that process means including words that everyone recognizes as "Nazi shit" and then getting reported for it.
If he hadn't utilized ironic hate-speech, the swarm wouldn't have found grounds to report him and his ban never would have happened.

I genuinely don’t understand Joe Rogan’s fixation on medical topics. He isn’t a physician, and far too often his platform amplifies voices that are openly anti-science, anti-vaccine, and rooted in conspiracy rather than evidence.
We keep hearing the same recycled claims, ivermectin cures cancer, vaccines are poisons, doctors are paid to medicate patients. None of this is grounded in reality.
When you have an audience of millions, influence is power, and power comes with responsibility. Spreading misinformation about healthcare is not harmless debate, it can cost lives.
