@HansFiene Pr. Wendorf helped a woman divorce her husband without any justification, then issued her a call as a DCE after she was excommunicated from her home congregation. He refused to speak to her husband. He was just re-elected as Area C VP of the Texas District.

A woman’s male friends are a harem. She gets all the benefits of a bf/husband with no reciprocal obligations. When he admits to romantic feelings, it’s like a mistress asking you to make her an honest woman. She reacts with disgust and anger at being faced with his humanity.
bel ❀@lotusbel

a girl's canon event is having a male friend fall in love with you and suddenly wondering if he was ever truly your friend in the first place #lowkey

My whole life as a survivor of sexual violence, I've received compassion from more people in general who know about it than any other reaction. Men, especially, have become protective and careful when they learned about it, often getting angry on my behalf toward perpetrators I've had no contact with in years. I've been offered assistance via recovery programs specifically for victims of rape. I've never been prevented from going anywhere or doing anything I wanted to do by others in response to my status as a survivor of sexual violence. My character hasn't been attacked for it. There are even people who offer to accommodate fears, concerns, or other sensibilities I might have because of what was done to me. Most people are kind because they consider me somewhat of a walking wounded individual, even after they know my experience was over 30 years ago and I've had a great deal of recovery since then. Being falsely accused carries a lifetime of social excommunication, with some people even rejecting solid, irrefutable proof of innocence as a reason to not ostracize the falsely accused. Even if it goes no further than reputational damage, that's enough to affect his ability to live peacefully within a community and find gainful employment. He's a target for socially accepted abuse, and for distrust and blame. But it doesn't stop at reputation. He faces possible false arrest, a humiliating investigation that can last weeks or months, and a risk of wrongful imprisonment, where he may be subjected to the very crime he's falsely accused of, IF he survives that long. Even if cleared by that investigation, he doesn't get to just be an innocent man. "He has been accused" will follow him forward. People in general will treat him differently if they know, even after learning he's been cleared. It will also affect his ability to trust others and engage with people socially, because he has learned that he can unpredictably be subjected to this ordeal and he has no reason to believe it won't happen again. It will affect his ability to live and work peacefully within his community forever. The trauma of the experience can cause avoidant behavior, nightmares and flashbacks, depression and anxiety, anger, social anxiety, misplaced feelings of guilt, loss of relationships and social support, isolation, and suicidal ideation - the same PTSD symptoms that can be caused by being raped. Except... He will not be offered any kind of recovery therapy, no program to deal with being a victim of the specific type of abuse (or crime) he's a victim of. Even people offended by the crime committed against him mostly won't be offended on his behalf, often instead talking about the situation as an attack not on the accused, but on the credibility of other accusers, leaping right over his experience as if he doesn't even matter. By many, he'll be shamed for being traumatized by the social ostracism, legal abuse, and life changes from his reputational damage, as if compassion for him is a sin against women everywhere, and he has no right to object to being targeted with such damaging lies or to have any psychological reaction other than submission. Feminists talk about rape victims like we're killed or erased and replaced by a forever victim version of ourselves because of an event that happens when it happens and then is over, giving us a chance to choose how we respond, to recover, and to live under our own control thereafter. Yet when women's advocates, especially feminists, encounter a victim of false accusation, a crime that follows you with a lifetime of aftershocks like an earthquake that never ends, they do their level best to turn him into exactly that. That's why I think being falsely accused is objectively worse.

I’ll never forget the service call I had in Michigan. They couldn’t find new techs. They were willing to train someone with no experience. They were offering $15/hr. The McDonalds on the corner had a sign advertising $18.50/hr.
James@James32980438

The entire manufacturing industry is basically, "Needed: highly skilled worker for (X), must already be certified with 3-5 years experience in (X, Y, Z). Must own tools. No training will be provided. 10-20 hours mandatory OT per week. Pays less than entry level McDonald's"

Someone who Pr. Stein hasn’t blocked should ask him whether he ever brought his grievances against his brother @Ad_Crucem personally, or if he is content to continue gossiping about his neighbor to strangers on the internet.

@AvoidPerception @EJK_Econ @Ad_Crucem If the opinions of internet randos count as “evidence” you’ve lowered the bar to the point cockroaches can crawl over it. Not a matter of “disagreeing” or “not liking.” It’s a matter of do any of the claims have a basic grounding in the truth.

@AvoidPerception @EJK_Econ @Ad_Crucem All vague assertion and no evidence. That’s the convenient thing about spreading conspiracy theories…you don’t have to provide evidence (and if the evidence doesn’t fit, you can always hand-wave it away).

@HansFiene @Ad_Crucem Maybe LCMS pastors who are worried about the state of the LCMS community should make sure the LCMS turns away from its path towards becoming the ELCA before they start sweating about whether laymen have total trust in governmental authorities or not.

Ok, so despite having evidence that the video you've linked uses an armor piercing bullet, you're going to keep asserting that this is the same bullet prosecutors claim was used to kill Kirk? Got it. Fine. Stick with this. Keep telling yourself that "everyone" was questioning this when it is demonstrably untrue. And keep ignoring the mountain of evidence for Robinson's guilt, which is far beyond what you'll find in any normal murder trial. I don't have any interest in arguing the "facts" of the case when you've just demonstrated that you don't care about the actual evidence. What I do care about is tying your brand to this stuff is making people lose any desire to do business with you. This will only make that problem worse. And that will make things worse for both Ad Crucem and the LCMS community.

@jjoehlerich @EJK_Econ @Ad_Crucem I do not find it morally reprehensible to believe that the people who have been documented as consistently lying to the public might have done so again, nor to find an explanation other than the one they provide to be a more plausible explanation of the facts.

@AvoidPerception @EJK_Econ @Ad_Crucem You don’t find anything morally reprehensible about fabricating entire motivations whole cloth? Especially when they contradict facts? An entire narrative which says father turned him in out of fear for their son’s life from co-conspirators, not b/c what his son did was wrong?

@AvoidPerception @EJK_Econ @Ad_Crucem A video of an armor piercing round being falsely used to question the evidence in the Charlie Kirk murder trial. Also, lots of baseless associated conspiracy claims - including that TR’s father turned him in not b/c of his criminal act, but to keep him safe from co-conspirators.

If this kind of image *doesn’t* bring to your mind the flood, then you don’t understand the flood. Every time you see a rainbow, you should picture God nocking an arrow on His war bow, before putting it down and telling Himself “they deserve it, but I promised I wouldn’t.”

Pentatonix singer Scott Hoying and his homosexual lover celebrate their latest purchase: a child stripped from its mother. Every time I see one of these videos I completely understand the flood. Stop giving sodomites babies.

@AvoidPerception @Ad_Crucem Why would it matter? Ad Crucem is posting vile content publicly. He's responding publicly. Ad Crucem didn't sin personally against him, so none of the Biblical rules about going to a brother who sinned against you applies. And it's not gossip when it's true.

@harkening @jeremylatzke You ought to repent. A “side hustle” implies it is an endeavor carried out in search of additional income. That is quite obviously not the purpose of their endeavors in reporting on matters that concern the LCMS.

How does having a large church change the way you “practice” closed communion? Either you know the life and confession of every member of your congregation or you don’t.
