An Open letter to @JoanaMamombe : A victim of Political narratives as opposed to principle. This week once again exposed the challenges we face as a people. The interplay between solid principles, rules and guidelines versus lawlessness. The attacks on your person, Political career and sacrifice to the democratic struggle more particularly instigated as usual by faceless characters is a dark phase we must all endure but whose end is a matter of time. That you have been subjected to the most vilest attacks not by the real enemy but perceived internal forces remains an eye opener daily . But again this is the hypocrisy; We pretended that your meeting with ED at state House for a purely national programme arising from your responsibilities as the chairperson of the Parliamentary Portfolio Committee on Tourism was the highest form of selling out . The pictures were circulated to achieve a certain narrative. It becomes more interesting when you note that you were attacked by people who work for the same government headed by ED, attacked by people who work in companies wherein the head of state portrait hangs daily ,attacked by people who do business with people who acknowledge ED as head of state . That's the level of hypocrisy we have reached as a people. A people of double standards who show a convenient face towards Zanu PF on social media or when the Polical narratives demand so yet dining with same privately in business , family settings, Spiritual settings , Villages etc . Again the reason being that our behaviour is shaped by Narratives not principle ! We pretended as if what you did was a taboo but easily forget that since 2000 opposition Mps have interacted with Zanu PF leaders, ministers , officials . The GNU between 2008 and 2013 was the climax where cdes sat together in cabinet, drank tea together, took pictures together. This was even after the most brutal and ruthless run off of 2008. Every election since 2000 to 2023 has been desputed yet our deployees were in Parliament , Council , Senate even when the leader was outside . It didn't matter and you know why ? Narratives! More painfully , the idea that your arrest , abduction case was stage managed , the same propaganda from Zanu PF we saw with our own eyes coming from perceived internal forces ! A new breed of loyal cadres who have never been arrested , tortured, victimised has emerged online whose main contribution is shaping Narratives as faceless characters. A disturbing systematic attack tailormade to erase the contributions of fellow cdes since 2000 making the sacrifices thereto a non event. A people who abuse the word sellout and use same conveniently on anyone perceived to have derailed without a collective agreed set of rules and guidelines justifying the tag. This explains why to some ,same pictures even taken yesteryears during national events or programs are not an issue but to others are a stick conveniently used . In all this remain strong . Your courage , commitment and dedication to duty is easily recognised by sober minds. Forgive us 🙏, should you meet some of the vilest people on social media in real life you will shed a tear hence they operate undercover darkness. Forgive , Forgive That said it's Camp meeting time!
