The Arab League, the OIC, the “regional powers” that love issuing statements about everything suddenly have nothing to say when it actually matters. It’s a complete institutional failure.
And then they’ll sit there later debating “declining Arab influence” and questioning why Western alliances exist.
You don’t get to disappear in moments like this and then complain about who showed up.
The Gulf has carried others through stability, crises, and reconstruction. Now the test is here, and the absence isn’t just disappointing, it’s exposing exactly how hollow these structures have become.

@s8mb I don't think that demonstrates a particularly deep understanding of this war, Sam - the Iranians are not behaving like eschatological fundamentalists. On the contrary, it's the Americans blowing up the world economy for no apparent strategic reason. Iran is being highly rational

The US President usually deals with rational counterparts against whom irrational behaviour can often work fairly well (if at a long-term cost). But I worry that what works against Eurocrats and kleptocrats will not work so well with eschatological Islamic fundamentalists.

You negotiate with terrorists. We do not. In the UAE, we don’t negotiate with terrorists we ban them, we eliminate them. To Washington, to the EU, to NATO, to Israel do whatever you need to do. The Islamic regime in Iran and its terrorist network must go. BTW..The Muslim Brotherhood and the IRGC are designated as terrorist threats in the UAE. Yet in the UK, the Muslim Brotherhood is not banned, and the IRGC has long faced hesitation in being fully proscribed. That is the difference. We act. Others debate.

Strikes on Iran's Natanz uranium-enrichment facility this morning were carried out by the United States, not Israel. The IDF says that it did not conduct any strikes in the area, and it cannot comment on American activities amid the war. Earlier, Kan news cited a source as saying that the US used bunker buster bombs to target the nuclear site.
