@Seancockram @ChrisGoffey I'd always argue strongly against people scrapping perfectly good, older cars, but to be honest it would've been better for the planet to have never bothered with the A2's existence and just have an AX diesel instead - but why draw such an arbitrary a line under progress?

@Seancockram @ChrisGoffey Love the A2 - disagree with the point. If petrol/oil etc that the A2 regularly uses grew on trees, rather than being drilled/refined/shipped around the world, then maybe the argument would hold up. And battery recycling will be huge - too much money in that for it to not happen

One thing I like about buying a 26 year old car is giving the finger to EVs ..I truly believe driving an old car that still does 50mpg is so much better for the planet than EVs that all there parts and batteries from all over the globe and I believe no economic answer to recycle

BYD adds to its UK media team, but interestingly Alex is still publishing stories over on Auto Express this month... bydukmedia.com/en/news-articl… Given that the interview and job offer must have predated the 11 December press release it does question the editorial bias of Auto Express with over 10 articles published since the announcement. Though since AE is now owned by Carwow that it perhaps not a surprise?

@HolmesTW @PorscheGB We all started the day unsure about it. It looks quite... 1970s, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Over the course of the day, some people grew less fond of it (my driving partner @TedWelford, for instance), but I quite like it. It's an unusual yellow, that's for sure.

Finished the day driving a 992.2 @PorscheGB 911 #Carrera #S in the bold colour of #Cartagena #Yellow. While I can't say *what* changes they make to the driving experience due to embargo, there was a suspension difference: the red car had the 10mm-lower PASM Sport chassis fitted.
