British engineering major Rolls-Royce is exploring the establishment of a maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facility in India for its civil aviation engines and has offered to set up an aero gas turbine complex in the country to support indigenous engine development for future military aircraft programmes.

A U.S. delegation led by Assistant U.S. Trade Representative Brendan Lynch is visiting India from June 1–4 for trade agreement discussions. (These are usually the negotiation war rooms) Defence watchers should keep an eye on these talks from the GE F414 perspective as well.

@Rethik_D It truly feels disheartening when defence analysts and LCA Tejas fans celebrate each GE engine delivery, simply hoping that everything returns to normal. The wish remains that Tejas can maintain its peak delivery — hopefully this becomes reality in the future

#Update According to new Timeline, LCA-MK1A delivery to IAF will start from Aug/Sep 2026. Currently HAL has received 6 GE-F404 engine.

2.5 years from T0 for the first prototype and 5 years from there for flight testing etc is a good timeline. I hope it gets signed this years and we have T0 as 2026 so first prototype by 2029.
