@Keoki1958 @JulianVsBabylon @5Solas2 In the book of revelations it describes 24 elders who offer incense in heaven. In the Old Testament there are 24 elder priests that serve under the high priests ministry. Elders serve in the priesthood of Christ, but on earth.
English

The following verses are not restricted to Christian elders only. They apply to ALL Believers in the Lord!
1 Peter 2:5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
6 Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.
7 Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,
8 And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.
9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
10 Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.
And the only "shepherd" believers have is that "Great Shepherd", i.e. the Lord Jesus Christ!
Hebrews 13:20 Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,
How is it, if believers are all brethren & simply sheep, can a fellow "sheep" can become a shepherd? Why is it that some people want to have ordinary "sheep" take the place of the Lord in His Church?
English

@AyeEye_ @JulianVsBabylon @5Solas2 when are you going to give us some scriptures to back up your claims?
English

@Keoki1958 @JulianVsBabylon @5Solas2 Jewelry is purely decorative. The cross is not. Priests wear the cross one to symbolize and remind of Christ crucifixion, also as a sign of office and also spiritual protection.
English

@Keoki1958 @JulianVsBabylon @5Solas2 Never said the church was a building. You’re arguing against a straw man.
English

In Scripture, the "church of God" (i.e. Christ's church) is never a BUILDING! It is always, without exception, a group of people. The following is an Undeniable Truth Concerning Christendom throughout history:
Almost all False Teaching or Perverted Doctrine or
Heresy Comes From:

@Keoki1958 @JulianVsBabylon @5Solas2 It is inaccurate to say “only” shepherd. 1 Peter 5:2–3 makes clear the role of a shepherd is to feed the flock which the elders are told to do. Also I never restricted it to elders but they clearly serve a specific office in Christs priesthood of which they partake.
English

@Keoki1958 @5Solas2 Historically this was common garment of more wealthy individuals. Often gifted to rabis and elders received in ministry. Jesus didn’t always walk around looking dusty.
English

The Holy Bible describes Christ's clothing as being different - not "more expensive"!
John 19:23 Then the soldiers, when they had crucified Jesus, took his garments, and made four parts, to every soldier a part; and also his coat: now the coat was without seam, woven from the top throughout.
24 They said therefore among themselves, Let us not rend it, but cast lots for it, whose it shall be: that the scripture might be fulfilled, which saith, They parted my raiment among them, and for my vesture they did cast lots. These things therefore the soldiers did.
English

@Keoki1958 @JulianVsBabylon @5Solas2 You are missing the symbolism, in most ancient churches there is a tabernacle at the front where the priest is which is supposed to symbolize the holy of Holys but in our churches it holds the holy communion body and blood of Jesus. And the Priest symbolizes old testament priests
English

There were God-appointed priests in the Jews religion. There are no priests in the Christian faith. There is only one verse in the New Testament where it refers to followers of Christ as "priests" (plural) - Revelation 1:6:
Revelation 1:1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:
2 Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.
3 Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.
4 John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne;
5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,
6 And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
The "US" are all of the Christ's followers (i.e.. saved believers), not some special "priesthood" over ordinary believers! In Scriptural Christianity no one (man or woman) is between the believer & God! According to the Apostle Peter all genuine believers in the Lord are "an holy priesthood", & we don't need a special "priest" to pray for us or intercede for us.
1 Peter 2:1 Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings,
2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:
3 If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.
4 To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious,
5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
English

@JulianVsBabylon @Keoki1958 @5Solas2 No but Christ still has priests under his priestly line on earth.
English

@Jperl20 @Big_samie4L @D_Preacher_1 Yeah but you would admit you made it up when threatened with death, the apostles didn’t. They claimed to have seen him and were willing to and went to their death for it.
English

@Big_samie4L @D_Preacher_1 I can have me and my buddies write down that I was the richest man in the world doesn’t mean I am
English

I will deactivate my account if you can show me proof Christ has risen.
RUTH 🇨🇦@it_Rutie
Satan has lost. Christ has risen. Happy Easter!

@Kingfan5151 @WayneAlmlie @TAftermath2020 Christianity is literally growing and has a higher conversion rate than Islam. The only thing keeping it up is they’re having babies like rabbits not converting people. Christianity is far from dying.
English

@AyeEye_ @WayneAlmlie @TAftermath2020 Well whatever the reason is, it’s growing at a rate Christianity can’t keep up 🤷♂️
English

@RjNol @thenate36 There are about 13000 airplanes in the sky at a time and you rarely see other planes while you’re up there. What makes you think k satellites wouldn’t be the same when they’re all thousands of miles apart in their orbits?
English

@thenate36 In all my years, all I ever wanted was to see a satellite in orbit.🥲🤚
English

@Keoki1958 @5Solas2 Jewish high priests wore garments that distinguish them from the ordinary just as God commanded. Christ also wore more expensive garments that’s why the Roman’s cast lots over them.
English

@5Solas2 I'm always suspicious of religious people who wear religious garb (i.e. costumes) & jewelry! Jesus, the disciples, & apostles never wore costumes to distinguish themselves from the ordinary people!
English

@Kingfan5151 @WayneAlmlie @TAftermath2020 Cause they get 4 wives… birthrates literally the only reason 💀
English

@WayneAlmlie @TAftermath2020 It is. Islam been around for less time it’s on Christianity’s heels. Yikes
