Ọmọ tó jọ baba ló gba ẹ̀rí ìyá rẹ̀ jẹ́. Kò jọ ìyá, kò jọ baba, adíjàsílẹ̀ ọmọ ni.
Translation
The child who bears a striking resemblance to the father attests to the mother's virtue and fidelity; the child who resembles neither parent can spark a perpetual feud.
Moral
Tangible proof of loyalty and fidelity significantly contributes to the family's harmony and prosperity, as the adage goes, "seeing is believing." Conversely, without evidence to substantiate one's actions, assurances from angels themselves would make little difference.
