If it’s broken, I’ll speak on it. If it’s unjust, I’ll fight it. Disrupting corruption. Not a politician. Just someone who gives a damn

@MidrandReporter @GTP_Traffstats @GautengProvince @eNCA @SundayTimesZA I am deeply concerned by the ongoing delays in repairing critical traffic intersections across Midrand and surrounding areas. Residents have waited months while traffic congestion, commuter frustration, and safety risks continue to worsen daily. It is unacceptable that the Province is still waiting for service provider guarantees before supply chain processes can be finalised, with timelines only projected for Quarter 1 (April–June). This reflects poor planning, weak project management, and a lack of urgency from government. Affected intersections include: • Maple Drive & Allandale Road (M39) • Allandale Road & Greig Street • R55 & Kyalami Boulevard • R55 & Main Road (M71) These are major routes used by thousands of motorists every day. While pointsmen have been requested at some intersections, this cannot replace properly functioning traffic infrastructure. The DA will continue to fight for: • Faster infrastructure repairs • Proper maintenance planning • Accountability from contractors and departments • Transparent communication with residents • Safe and efficient roads for commuters Residents deserve a government that fixes problems before they become crises.

@Uber_Support For the record, I contacted in-app support twice & was told the trip was “reviewed” & no refund was due. Only after I said I have footage proving I was dropped off in Mayfair did the refund get processed. This was clear driver misconduct. This makes it impossible to trust Uber

Hi @Uber @Uber_Support I took a trip from Sea Point to CPT INT Airport this morning and accepted a price of about R158. You incorrectly claim the distance increased and that I was dropped off in Macassar and you charged me R529 excl. tip. I flagged the issue & you refused refund.

Saying there’s "no water crisis outside parts of Soweto" doesn’t match reports of dry taps and reservoir strain in many Johannesburg areas. Reality on the ground needs to be acknowledged and addressed urgently.

[BREAKING NEWS] Controversial Goolam X Account Operator Mohammed Vawda Found Dead in Sandton Hotel Ahead of Police Arrest He was unmasked in July 2024 by the IOL as the operator of the anonymous account that targeted politicians, government officials, journalists, and business leaders for several years A luxury hotel in Sandton became the scene of a sudden death after Mohammed Suliman Vawda, also known as Goolam, was found dead in his room at about 9.30am on Tuesday, 27 January. Police had gone to the hotel intending to arrest him. Vawda was identified as the individual behind the controversial Goolam account on X, formerly Twitter, known by the handle @goolammv. He was unmasked in July 2024 by the IOL as the operator of the anonymous account, which had been active since 2018. According to reports, the police arrived at the hotel on 5 Benmore Road in connection with several criminal cases against Vawda, including a crimen injuria charge laid by former Human Settlements Minister Lindiwe Sisulu. Officers allegedly found him lying face up and unresponsive. Police spokesperson Colonel Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi confirmed that an inquest docket has been opened following the death of the 50-year-old man. She said the cause of death is unknown at this stage and will be determined after a postmortem, while investigations remain ongoing.

@Olivia_LaGrange Hi Olivia, I’m hoping to connect with you about hijacked and overcrowded properties in Ward 58, including City-owned buildings. I’ve raised this with the CoJ for years with no meaningful response. I’d appreciate the opportunity to engage. @AIC100

#HijackedBuildings The best way I can explain this: See a hijacked building in South Africa, as a parasite SUCKING THE LIFE out of our country/economy. WHY do I say this ? By LAW a building has an approved OCCUPANCY RATE, this essentially regulates the amount of WATER and POWER that needs to be supplied to that building, funded by US, AS TAX PAYERS and if they pay RATES & TAXES, the owners of the building (which they should collect if from their tenants if it's occupied by many people) So add to the water and power, SEWER system, that ties into the main lines going to treatment plants. ALL of the government infrastructure going TO & FROM that building, is paid for by tax money (our money) With a hijacked building, the rent (which is partially supposed to pay for this) is pocketed by the hijackers. Make sense? To make matters worse, if the tenants are illegal immigrants, the opportunity to threaten them into any form of submission is rife.... So at the CORE of our countries problems, among others, is THIS ISSUE. And mafias make MILLIONS from this, with state connections and NGO's supporting the ecosystem. Get it ?
