~~ The Great Debate 2023 ~~ Universities are the centre for debates that change the world. Academia plays the most crucial role in generating discourse on socio-political issues and in empowering youth as informed, democratic citizens. At GC University, @gcuniversitylhr we take this responsibility very seriously. As a prestigious university and the oldest higher education institution in Pakistan, we aim to foster a culture of intellectual exchange, harmony and tolerance by initiating "The Great Debate 2023". #TheGreatDebate2023 aims to become a vehicle of democratisation, social awareness, and meaningful political change for the country. In the first instance, #TheGreatDebate2023 will consist of four chapters, allowing for diverse perspectives and practical solutions to be explored. The first four chapters will cover four policy arenas. CHAPTER 1 Pakistan's National Economy: Identifying the Challenges and Solutions CHAPTER 2 Pakistan's Foreign Policy in the context of evolving Geopolitical Landscape, mid-July 2023 CHAPTER 3 Law and Justice Policy: Parliament and Judiciary's role in Pakistan's Macro-Political Paradigm, end-July 2023 CHAPTER 4 Climate Change and Environment Policy: Global Climate Change as Existential Threat, early-September 2023
