JORDY TO RETIRE Legendary Seasider Jordan Matthews came out of retirement last summer after playing over 300 games and having joined the club as a junior at 14 years of age, he now goes back into retirement, and into the history books as one of the greatest ever players to grace the Martello Ground turf. The new U13 EJA side are ready for their first match and looking great in their Boardley & Roberts sponsored kit! Managed by Stuart Boardley, Curtis Haynes-Brown and former Ipswich Town Captain Luke Chambers, the boys would love your support next Tuesday, 3rd September for their home EJA Harrison Midweek Trophy match against Leiston. The match kicks off at 7pm and is on the main pitch at the Martello Ground. Free entry to all. If there is an FA Cup replay for the men’s first team on Tuesday then this match will instead be played on Wednesday 4th September.

We wish Josh Blunkell the very best for the future as he departs the club. Blunks played a starring role in the Seasiders run to the playoffs, keeping an incredible 9 clean sheets in his 17 games! Stuart Boardley paid tribute to @GkJoshie03 this morning. “Josh was a breath of fresh air when he joined us in January. His form was magnificent and he’ll certainly be missed around the place moving forward. He certainly has a big future in the game and we look forward to watching his development, albeit from a distance”.
