@Thepeoplesfool @HooovHearted @WyrmwoodGaming I believe that their transparency on YouTube and marketing prowess might be enough to prove to the court of public opinion their innocence. I’d still go to court out of principal but that’s just me.
English

@B1GmacZaddy @HooovHearted @WyrmwoodGaming Perhaps, or the law suit would lose money and goodwill. The action they are taking might not me what I would do, but it is a reasonable choice.
English

@Thepeoplesfool @HooovHearted @WyrmwoodGaming That’s what they pay their lawyer for. Buy winning the case they can prove in court they had no wrong doing. The accuser may not be able to cover damages but the regained consumer trust is worth it alone.
English

@B1GmacZaddy @HooovHearted @WyrmwoodGaming Sure, but is it worth the trial? Who would you sue? And could they cover the damages? If not, making some revenue off of a video may be the reasonable action.
English

@Thepeoplesfool @HooovHearted @WyrmwoodGaming Results take time to measure but, judging by the reaction to the initial accusation, it seems they could lose out on a ton of business. If sales trajectories alter dramatically based on the tweet, they’d have some ammunition
English

@HooovHearted @WyrmwoodGaming Suing for libel would require proving damages. What damages has wyrmwood suffered? Be specific.
English

@_mimikay_ This is starting to look like the stereotypical “disgruntled former employee” scenario… IMO the victim truly has one point of blame, the person making it public, assuming the victim didn’t okay this first.
English

@DanArndtWrites Lol obviously didn’t watch or read… awesome tldr there bud
English

@BuddingTherapy @_mimikay_ @WyrmwoodGaming It’s a shame that it isn’t law to report all alleged rapes to the police. This should never land on a company, only law enforcement.
English

@BuddingTherapy @WyrmwoodGaming I understand your position and disagree on the conclusion. I appreciate your response and wish you the best.
I think we can both agree that we wish for a swift and just resolution to this situation.
English

@B1GmacZaddy @WyrmwoodGaming My discusssion around retraumatising is about reporting an alleged SA that occurred several years ago - without the consent of the alleged victim.
I watched the video. It's condenscending and aggressive. Filming their reactions to this and sharing is not appropriate.
English

@Jellydrake @WyrmwoodGaming All good. This is still all he-said she-said, so assuming the statement and video is true, it’s clear to me that it’s a simple “disgruntled former employee seeking revenge” scenario.
English

@B1GmacZaddy @WyrmwoodGaming I may have missed the part where they never reported to management themselves. I got the impression they reported it and then spread rumors.
English

@Andy_Morocco @WyrmwoodGaming If true, terrible. If false, as Wyrmwood states, this looks like another case of disgruntled employee seeks revenge. The statement on your idea being stolen is par for the disgruntled employee course. IP is owned by the company when the employer develops IP as part of their job..
English

I'm a former employee of
@WyrmwoodGaming
and want to put my story on record. I'm who the tweet was talking about. Remember firing me, Doug?
(I'm glancing away through the video because it wrote this all out for clarity and brevity.)

English

@Jellydrake @WyrmwoodGaming It’s not retaliation when you fire both parties for toxic work environments. Especially when they can prove (according to their video) that all others that brought it to management weren’t terminated after reporting the allegations. Open/shut case for any lawyer and judge
English

@WyrmwoodGaming You didn't talk to Frank before firing Employee B, did you? Anti-retaliation Laws are a thing. Bonehead move to fire them at the same time even if you had documented issues with them.
English

@memymomonkey @WyrmwoodGaming May I ask how you view this as unserious? In the video I watched I saw an enraged owner/CEO discuss how he removed both employees as well as discuss how he could have handled the situation better. They are also bringing in the police, as any business should.
English

@BuddingTherapy @WyrmwoodGaming Their public response to a public allegation is both necessary and important. If their statements in writing and on video are true, they a free from all guilt in this situation. All additional trauma falls on the shoulders of the terminated employee’s public allegations.
English

@BuddingTherapy @WyrmwoodGaming Did you not watch? The allegation was that Wyrmwood fired a rape rumor starter (not the victim) but kept the alleged rapist on as an employee. Wyrmwood says this allegation is false because they were both terminated.
Also, the video says they checked for a police report.
English

@EarlRobertdeB @WyrmwoodGaming They’re leaving that to the police. Not the companies job to investigate a non-employee.
