They say security’s a journey, not a destination, but this sounds like a guided tour of pure annoyance. Hope the next stop is Microsoft actually sorting it out.. good luck. I'd remove the push to approve security MFA option (if I were you, there's other choices), seen entire enterprises fall victim to a breach due to one user clicking these kind of attacks with approve.

I have been dealing with automated attacks on my personal microsoft account. This account is setup with: - passwordless - MFA authenticator app - phone number - second email backup What the attackers have done is pushing at least 4-6 mfa notifications every night.

Linus Torvalds is fed up with AI usage recently. In his latest kernel update, Linus Torvalds revealed that the Linux kernel's private security mailing list has become "almost entirely unmanageable" Why? Because it is flooded with duplicate bug reports from people running the same AI tools on the same code. Same bugs. Same day. No fixes. Just endless "pointless churn" for the volunteers keeping your Linux systems secure. He is blunt (as always): “AI tools are great, but only if they actually help, rather than cause unnecessary pain.” This isn't anti-AI, it's anti-slop. Real open source work still needs humans who understand what they're reporting. What do you think? Is AI helping or hurting open source right now?
