What a year (financial calendar year), the team responded to >1,200 incidents for @SCAS999 - assisting with >320 cardiac arrests, >380 trauma cases, ~160 medical cases, amongst a whole host of other call types. Only possible thanks to @BASICS_HQ @scacharity @HelipadHELP

Is it safe to say "spring has sprung?" or will this be the only sunny day for the rest of the year...? Let's hope not. The team have been out and about in the sunshine (and in a fair bit of wind and rain too), but let's focus on the positives, including 86 responses for @SCAS999

@BASICS_SCAS The HEMS paramedics covering the SCAS area might actually be employed by SCAS. In SWAST all the critical care paras on 4 different HEMS teams are employed by SWAST

@GeriatricEmt @NatashaMDay @MedTreeUK @GreenLabelPHEM @scacharity @SCAS999 @BASICS_HQ When we have capacity for Trainees we advertise across our sevice area (SCAS) and the best applicants are invited to a fairly tough full selection day of exams, OSCEs and Interviews/Portfolio reviews to pick the best candidates to enter our 12-24 month internal training scheme.

Today quietly @BASICS_SCAS responder ER201 rolled past FIVE HUNDRED Enhanced Care calls since the 1st April 2025 which is the busiest this unit has ever been in a year! All thanks to our supporters: @SCAS999 @scacharity @BASICS_HQ @HelipadHELP @MedTreeUK @SnowsVolvo @zollemsfire

The team has surpassed 1,000 responses this year and another 87 in the bag during February. Not too bad for a small team. Let's hope that March brings a little more sunshine. We've noticed an increase in motorbikes on our roads this week, stay alert and safe out there @SCAS999

January always feels like a long month for many of us, after the Christmas and New Year break. Well, the team of #volunteer responders didn't stop and clocked >100 incidents in the first month of the year. Only possible thanks to our wonderful sponsors @scacharity @BASICS_HQ

Another day another tyre while responding for @BASICS_SCAS not a pothole this time but avoiding another less careful motorist who hit some water & skidded towards me so I ended up saying hello to the Kerb! This tyre was 2 months old 🙄 Thanks @GreenLabelPHEM who will replace it!

Yesterday multiple units of our volunteer Enhanced Care Team managed 14 yes thats FOURTEEN responses for @SCAS999 across Hampshire mostly in the nasty dark and wet of the evening! @BASICS_HQ @scacharity @HelipadHELP @zollemsfire @MedTreeUK
