@GWRHelp Surely these trains today are not “unexpectedly busy” given all the press about the demonstrations and the FA cup final. When the train is suddenly 5 instead of 9 carriages and seats you may have reserved don’t exist! What do you expect customers to then?

Hi there, I am sorry to hear that. Many train tickets are flexible, allowing customers greater choice. This does mean, however, that some services can become unexpectedly busy. We do all we can to ensure the busiest known services have a greater capacity and we use all available carriages where possible. We always intend for our seat reservation systems to be in operation; however, this is not always possible due to unforeseeable circumstances. If you have a reservation and can't sit down, compensation is available here: railhelp.co.uk/gwr/make-a-com…. Please include photos of your ticket and reservation, as well as details of which stations you had to stand between - Rose

@GWRHelp on the 9.51 from Moreton in Marsh to London. The reservation lights are not working so a free for all for seats and instead of 9 carriages this is a 5 carriage train. 2 major demos in London today and the FA cup final at Wembley. Total chaos and we’re only at Oxford.

@GWRHelp Rose - this is not about the ticket. Or the options. When a train you have planned to travel on is 4 carriages shorter than planned - what do you expect customers to do? Wait another hour?

@EvriCustomerHQ I have sent 3 emails to Evri International Customer Service regarding an incorrect tax request For a parcel being sent to the USA. I have tried calling. I have used the chat bot. Nothing works. I got no answers. My parcel was returned to me. How to get help?

@gwr if the train that is “sent” has almost half the number of coaches could there be an early warning so I can try and run like everyone else to get a seat because the seat I reserved doesn’t exist!

@gwr another train journey home standing because in the words of the train manager “we were sent a 5 coach train instead of a 9 coach train” Who is this person doing the sending?

@GWRHelp I have travelled twice a week every week this year on this route. Never have I heard an announcement about pets. Announcing that the reservation lights are not working and then turning them on caused confusion!

@BASeymour here: railhelp.co.uk/gwr/make-a-com…. Please include photos of your ticket and reservation, as well as details of which stations you had to stand between. We also ask all customers to keep their bags, luggage and pets off the seats to allow other passengers to sit there. 2/3

@GWRHelp I understand it may not always be possible but the option of turning it on at the first stop ie Reading actually makes matters worse!

@GWRHelp @(part 4) I assume he would have pointed out to her that a cat could not take a seat that could be used by a customer. You can do nothing about her behaviour but maybe re-think the reservation system and Friday services. I am 68 and stood from Reading to Oxford.

@GWRHelp (part 3) I gave the gentleman my seat as there were too many people still arguing over their reservations because lights were now on. We were in the last but one carriage. Aisles with people standing. Train guard never reached us.

@GWRHelp (part 2) on the same 13.50a young woman sat with her cat in a cat carrier on the adjacent seat. A gentleman of approx 85+ years old got on at Reading and asked for the seat. “Oh no that’s my cat” was her reply. Incensed I asked her if the cat had bought a ticket?

@GWRHelp you must know that Friday afternoon trains out of London are very busy. The 13.50 to Great Malvern was showing no reserved lights for seats. So of course a battle ensues for seats. But then to make matters worse you turn on the lights at Reading. Why?

@TfL can you coordinate messages about the Central Line service? TfL live says severe and minor delays but nothing of that on the display board on platform at Hanger Lane. Why not a broad announcement to expect delays for the unforeseeable future?

@TfL how long will these Central Line delays continue for? Can you be more transparent so people can plan alternative journeys?

@TfL when will this shortage of trains on the Central Line end? I gather new trains are coming but that programme lasts for a couple of years. Surely this reduced service will not last that long?

@TfL when will these continuous “minor delays due to a shortage of trains” on the Central Line come to an end? Yes I know you are refurbishing trains but that project doesn’t end until 2029. Do we have to endure a poor service until then?
