I have observed two measures used on the Metro rail pillars from Tarnaka to Nagole that appear to be very effective: 1. The use of clear warning signs stating: "STICK NO BILLS VIOLATORS WILL BE PROSECUTED UNDER METRO STATE ACT." 2. The provision of dedicated spaces specifically for posters and advertisements. Could you please review these practices and consider implementing them on the Nagole crossroad flyover pillars? I have attached photographs (Pictures 1-4) for your reference. THANK YOU GHMC!!! Especially, Dr Maruthi, Veterinary officer from Serilingampally Circle, Cyberabad Corporation for visiting our community and taking care of the stray dogs issue. We raised a complaint with GHMC in the first week of February but then it was closed immediately without attending to it. So I took to twitter to highlight the same. Looks like some sane officer read my tweet and decided to act upon it. Dr Maruthi personally visited our community and while interacting with him, I got to know that when we raised the complaint, there was no veterinary officer available in this circle. As soon as he got posted here, he decided to address the issue. He and his team were absolutely helpful. I did ask Dr Maruthi as to what they would do with the stray dogs that were caught. He assured me that they follow the Supreme Court guidelines and get these strays vaccinated, spayed and then brought back to their habitat after they recuperate from being neutered. I am being optimistic about this. Hopefully they will follow the procedure 🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽 Once they neuter the dogs, they do mark them with an ear notch. When you see a stray without an ear marking you know that you have to complain to the municipal authorities. While there is an increased stray dog issue in the city, there are ample shelters to take care but not enough people. During my conversation with Dr Maruthi, I realised that the department needs a lot more dog catchers than they have. Hopefully this will be sorted asap.

₹19,000 crore. That is what Banks collected in last 3 years just for not maintaining ‘Minimum Account Balance.’ Not from the rich. Not from big borrowers. From the poorest accounts in the system. Their crime? They didn’t have enough money. A farmer misses the minimum balance - Penalty. A pensioner withdraws money for medicine - Penalty. A daily wage worker falls short by a few hundred rupees - Penalty. The poor keep money in banks for safety. Not to be quietly fined for being poor. Financial inclusion should protect small savings, not punish small balances. In Parliament today I proposed ending minimum balance penalties so the banking system stops charging people for their poverty.

@MCMalkajgiri @DC_Nagole Sir, almost three years now. There is so much reluctance in closing the GVP's permanently. Refer the attached picture of the poster which if placed at all GVP's would act as a redundant in closing the GVP's permanently. Currently there are excuses 1. Push the garbage from road side onto the open plots. No vehicle no staff available to clear this garbage . 2 . We don't clear garbage from open plots as it's under litigation. But they don't mind pushing garbage onto open plots themselves and close the grievance as resolved. 3 . Municipalities don't provide these posters, citizens should arrange for themselves. 4 . Even when you tell that CCTV is installed yet GVP is flourishing yet they even clear it and monitor it from further littering in coming days . 5 . What's the point of clearing, the garbage will be littered in few hours soon. 👉 GHMC Commissioner Reviews Sanitation, Emphasises Clean City Mission GHMC Commissioner R. V. Karnan Garu, conducted a surprise inspection in the Jubilee Hills Circle, reviewing sanitation conditions and civic maintenance works on the ground. During the visit, he inspected areas including Deendayal Nagar, Film Nagar, Vinayak Nagar, and Lotus Park, assessing the effectiveness of ongoing sanitation activities. The Commissioner directed officials to ensure that sanitation drives are carried out in a more effective and sustained manner. He emphasised the need to place special focus on the elimination of Garbage Vulnerable Points (GVPs) and instructed that Construction & Demolition (C&D) waste be cleared immediately, without allowing it to accumulate. He further directed that roads, internal roads, parks, lakes, and government offices must be maintained in a clean and hygienic condition, ensuring better living conditions for citizens.
