@mipsytipsy @kevdog My guess that anyone that makes their own ORM and is proud of it will want to discuss it as much as possible. Someone that makes their own ORM but is ashamed of it has a good business reason for doing it otherwise they wouldn't have done it... right?

I strongly disagree. If you're launching a technical product and don't have technical leadership then you might make it small, but you'll never make it big.

No, they don't have an internal world model. Word usage intuitively clusters by region. This is projecting meaning on a plinko board of words, then overlaying a map.

We recently crossed 9000 PRs within our Ruby on Rails codebase (granted, Dependabot plays a huge part in those). It's still crazy that this codebase is only 3 years old.

@aarondfrancis For cloud platforms don't just read them once. Review it periodically. A service you thought you knew a year ago can have a lot of new functionality in a short amount of time

One of the easiest ways to gain a relative advantage in your field is to read the docs. Not just reference them, read them straight through.
This gives you a massive edge because no one ever does it!
Same goes for technical books, they'll give you superpowers.
