@TheWapplehouse Buying a new vehicle is such a waste of money lol Majority of people riding around in new cars wondering "Why can't I afford this $800+ per month and $300 per month for insurance?"
English

@MAGA_X_Times 180 boxes measuring 25 x 15 x 7. Boxes that size can be like $3 or $4 each. $720 worth of boxes lol
English

Packaging for some of these companies has gotten out of control, this man ordered 180 pool noodles for some reason and the vast majority were shipped one per box by Walmart at a vast race of resources.
I too have experienced similar packaging/shipping, just out of curiosity have any of you experience this ?
English

@end3of6days9 Crazy when you can just buy the fruits to make that bowl for like $10 or $15 max. Paying $25 just to have it conveniently cut for you basically lol
English
This man at Whole Foods is shopping with his wife when she asks, “You want some fruit, honey?” He's holding a package of pre-cut fruit (kiwi, strawberries, melon) ahe shows his wife the price tag — $40.60.
He jokes, “Let me go sell the car,” as he puts the fruit tray right back on the shelf while the wife agrees with “Yeah… that’s staying on the shelf.”
It’s shocking how something as simple as pre-cut fruit has gotten so expensive. The best way to fight back is to grab whole fruits instead and cut them up yourself at home — you’ll save a ton of money and usually end up with fresher, better-tasting results anyway.
Have you seen prices like this on pre-cut fruit or ready-made items lately? What’s one thing you’ve started making or preparing yourself to save money?
English

@Liathetrader Our groceries for 2 are about $100 per week and we eat mostly produce. We rarely buy processed foods.
English

@barkmeta In the 90s, people thought Pokemon was just a fad and would die out quickly. Many franchises become extremely popular but completely die out within 5 years.
English

@ElizaLyola @MomKrill I'm not so sure about the "never cohabitate before marriage" because you don't truly know someone until you've lived with them. People put on fake personas all the time.
English

If there's no marriage proposal within a year or two of dating leave immediately. I don't freaking care if that sounds mean or unreasonable. If you aren't ready to commit to the person that your romantically involved with, you're using them. Full stop.
And for the love of all that is Holy... Never cohabitate before marriage!
English

Okay I listened to the full call:
They've been dating for over 6 years. She graduated just over 2 years ago and has already paid almost half her student loans off. Her boyfriend is taking care of rent but she pays towards all the other bills.
At what point do people accept that this is not vetting her, it's just avoiding commitment? Why should she owe him nearly 10 years of dating before he MIGHT propose to her?
Yonan@yonann
Dave Ramsey tells a nurse to dump her boyfriend after he refuses to propose until she pays off $90K in debt Caller: "I’m a 26 year old nurse with $90K in student loans. My boyfriend makes $250K a year, but he won’t propose until I’m completely debt free" Dave: "Dump him. He’s making you prove your worth based on money. You’re having to buy your way into this relationship" "The No. 1 cause of divorce in North America today is money fights and money problems and guess what this is? This is a money fight"
English

@washghost1 10 to 20 years from now, I feel like retail stores will just be robots fetching items from shelves / storage and bringing them to the front when an order is placed. Zero theft but you can still get the item now instead of waiting for shipping.
English

@hamstake_ @ClownWorld Mobile home insulation is terrible. I know of people paying $500 to $1000 per month just for their electric bill in mobile homes. Meanwhile, people in a 200k home built on-site pay $100 to $150 in that same area.
English
@ClownWorld You would be way better off spending that 100k on a mobile home. Youll get more out of it.
English

@end3of6days9 I try to use my credit cards at least once every 6 months or so. Even if it's a $1 purchase in-store. They can close your card for not using it. But yeah, them reducing the credit limit to below your current balance is total bs and should be illegal.
English
This woman had a long-held Bank of America credit card that she kept strictly as her true emergency backup — one she rarely ever used and saved only for real crises.
But after being t-boned in a car accident while pregnant (not her fault), she had to rely on it for necessary expenses like a rental car, doctor visits, fetal monitoring, and physical therapy.
The bank actually called her about the activity. They seemed understanding at first… until they suddenly slashed her $10,000+ limit down to just $500 for “spending too much too fast” in a 30-day window and started hitting her with penalties.
Have you ever had a bank or credit card company pull something like this on you when you were already dealing with a tough situation?
English

@WallStreetApes Yeah don't ever buy HP printers. I just bought a Canon printer last year and it works great. Can get offbrand toner refills for like $15. No monthly subscription fees
English

American bought a brand new printer. She bought the ink for the printer, she bought the paper for the printer, now she’s at home and is ready to print
She can’t print
“They remotely shut off my printer until I paid $7.50 cents to print in my own home, to print on my printer, that I own in my home”
This is the new $7.50 subscription plan by HP Printers
Here’s how the plans work
HP’s Instant Ink and newer All-in Plan programs are subscription services options:
- You pay a monthly fee based on pages printed (not ink used).
- Plans start low, from $1.79–$7.99 per month for 10–100 pages
- $7–$8 per month plans are for around 100 pages
If your payment fails. HP will remotely shutoff your printer
English

@TangandTanq There's so many people who don't know about PWE shipping with tracking for like 74 cents lol Anything $20 and under I ship that way on Ebay and anything higher gets shipped in a small box via ground package postage.
English

@SonOfAristotle @fritolaysia This is true. Especially for dry goods. Many years ago, I remember my mom and I had made several Hamburger Helper meals literally 10+ years past the best by date. They tasted fine. The seasoning mix was a bit clumpy but yeah lol
English
@fritolaysia The Best If Used By date is a scam.
Food is edible months to years after that date.
English

@WallStreetApes No, it's total bs. The max you can get for a single person is around $290 and that's with $0 income. She would need 10+ kids / dependants to get anywhere near that amount.
English

American gets $4,194 in one month for EBT payments
She actually logs in and shows you that’s how much she gets
“I know how to work the system in my favor, I know how to get what I want”
Nobody should get a card with a balance loaded onto it, they should be sent food boxes. Our EBT program needs more reform, the new restrictions didn’t go far enough
English

@Breaking911 Gamestop has a net worth of around $11 billion. Ebay has a net worth of around $46 billion. Gamestop can't afford Ebay lol
English

@HazelAppleyard So you can eat anything as long as you put it between 2 pieces of bread lol
English

@RealFutchy @skumWgmi Yes this exactly. People get insurance and go anywhere when they need to go to medical facilities that are in-network with their insurance.
English

@FinCane13 @RickD_GK I use tap to pay with my phone because the card number issued is single use only and changes every time. The merchant doesn't ever get your real CC data.
English

When I go to certain type of stores, I will do Cash only. We all know the type of stores I'm talking about.
And this is why... Not only are they getting your business, they're stealing your card info by putting skimmers on the card machines.
I personally don't think its just the cashiers, or friends of theirs that they let do it.
Thoughts?
English

@UziCryptoo It goes to your estate. Creditors can claim assets from your estate when you die meaning your loved ones receive less of your assets if you had an insane amount of debt.
English
Why did no one tell me credit card debt just dies with you?
My uncle died with $52K across 6 credit cards.
My aunt called each one and said “He’s dead. He can’t pay.”
Every single one said “We’re sorry for your loss. We’ll close the account.”
$52,000. Gone.
Unsecured debt cannot be passed to the family. They just never tell you this.
