@WorkElizab Yes, and that's when the phobia began. I'll never forget that day. Big black smelly rubber mask. Never been able to tolerate anything over my face since. Bled and cried all the way home. Poor Mum was horrified, bless her! Still terrified decades later.

@WorkElizab Yes at the "School dentist " it was horrific! He was Polish or German, like a butcher, took us in 2 at a time so we had to watch the previous kid possibly get tortured first! It was the stuff of nightmares for many years! I was petrified!
