
🏢 Strict Action on Property Tax Defaulters – BECC
Bengaluru East City Corporation Commissioner D. S. Ramesh announced stringent action against property tax defaulters within the corporation limits.
⚠️ Key Highlights
• A total of 51 properties (Mahadevapura – 28, K.R. Puram – 23) are set to be taken into possession for non-payment of property tax
• Despite notices, reminders, and auction proceedings, dues remain unpaid
• Some properties were auctioned earlier; however, these 51 remained unresolved
⏳ Final Opportunity to Property Owners
• Defaulters are given one last chance to clear dues
• If full payment is made within 1 month, properties will be returned to owners
🏛️ Action in Case of Non-Payment
• BECC will take ownership of properties as per rules
• Property value will be assessed based on guideline value
• Outstanding tax will be deducted, and remaining amount credited to owners
