Today I was invited by @TheRevAl, @NYCMayor & our city’s religious leaders to unequivocally condemn the attempted assassination of President Trump. As the Republican leader of NYC government. I was glad to stand with them in a clear denunciation. Here is what I said.

@BWhippleKS @DavidBonfiglio I stand corrected. Your substitute motion to increase the tax burden on all property owners prevented my motion returning the 2023 surplus to all residents.

@BFryeICTGuy @DavidBonfiglio This is a lie. There was no vote on Fryes motion to defend our fire, police & public works the millions more in funds they need to continue to protect our city as our city grows. If it did pass, it would have been a huge tax handout to the richest property owners in the city.

Today by a vote of 4-3, the Wichita City Council passed the largest targeted property tax rebate in memory. Seniors, disabled veterans & low income families who need property tax relief the most will get it. #ILoveWichita #WeAreWichita #ksleg

@DavidBonfiglio @BWhippleKS Also, due to a $12.6m current budget surplus (your money), i also made a motion to lower the mill levy rate by 2.724. This would have saved ALL property taxpayers over $12m. Whipple, Ballard, Hoheisel and Johnson voted against it.

@BJohnsonICT @Lazer_Falcon For the most part, revenue generated within the stadium district covers the cost of the stadium.

@Lazer_Falcon Basically. The stadium is in a STARBOND district. There are multiple incentives that come with that. There is a smaller direct cost. But I do not have those numbers in front of me. Maybe my colleague @BFryeICTGuy can help with what I missed.

@BJohnsonICT it my understanding that the Baseball Stadium, as of this moment, has costed Wichitans $0. It's all to be funded by the CID once the stadium is opened. In other words, the tax district will ultimately pay for it. Is that an accurate, if simplified, explanation?
