@BJinkster @WSStrength @DrStrength4Life @AFL @NFL I expect squad size definitely a factor but I also think the risk exposure in terms of hours of training/match time is still very different when comparing a short pre-season period vs. a full AFL season.

The @AFL has consistently tracked at an average of just under one ACL injury per team per season. For the @NFL to be at that level before the season has even started is pretty stunning.

@WSStrength @Crow_Justin @DrStrength4Life @AFL @NFL Also, would squad size make an impact, eg AFL ~45, NFL 53 in-season and up to 90 during pre-season camps.

@Crow_Justin @DrStrength4Life @AFL @NFL Could a potential factor be such a huge pool of talent there is less priority on injury prevention? They lose a player to an ACL injury but have 15 players waiting in the wings. I have no first hand experience in the field but just a hypothetical reason
