According to the very reliable @elnacionalcat Arsenal have held talks with Nico Williams and are now ahead of Barca for the signing of the winger. Nico Williams ( £46m, Zubimendi (£51m ) and Benjamin Sesko (£55m ) for £152m instead of £150m for Isak alone makes a lot of sense.

I panicked for a moment, but then read the comment by one of the maintainers explaining why they won't migrate ExoPlayer to @Kotlin in the nearest future. This comment deserves to be ingrained in stone! God bless developers who favor stable and useful software over hype.
Júlio Zynger@juliozynger

It's been 3 years since @Kotlin was officially adopted as a first-class language for @AndroidDev. I've raised a small PR to introduce it to ExoPlayer's codebase. Would be great to get more community input to inform Google's dev team: github.com/google/ExoPlay…

@VasiliyZukanov @kotlin Of course I don't mean the ExoPlayer should be migrated to Kotlin, but saying Kotlin is new/unstable in 2020 is pure ignorance.

@VasiliyZukanov @kotlin Have you ever used the ExoPlayer? I don't think the devs behind this lib are the best authorities to ingrain their comments in a stone.

@github I know a better way how to deal with massive PRs. Just one comment: "Dude, this is too large to review, could you please split this into parts". I think devs should follow the rule "Show a little code, get a lot of feedback. Show a lot of code, get only a little feedback."

“Should you learn in you own time or should employers pay for you to learn?” It’s very nice to be paid to learn, but there is no amount of money you could pay me to stop learning. #SCLConf

@Gryzor @AndroidDev @Firebase Hmm, maybe it's the best open source app provided by google, but the code 'looks' better because Google finally decided to introduce some architecture pattern. However, if you will focus only on OOP principles, you realise that the code is exactly the same as few years ago.

Kotlin 1.3-M1, first preview of 1.3, is out! Coroutines are graduating to stable, variable for 'when' subject, experimental unsigned arithmetic and inline classes, multiplatform random number generator, and more: blog.jetbrains.com/kotlin/2018/07…

Maybe this is less cool nowadays but for me when it comes to RxJava vs. Coroutines I prefer RxJava. It has higher abstraction and nice separation of business logic and threading. Coroutines feels so low level almost like Java threads.

"The unit tests suck - we need to do integration testing." "These UI tests suck - we need to do unit testing" "BDD/TDD/*DD sucks - we need a different method" My thoughts: Writing bad tests is a problem that doesn't go away when you change where/how you write the tests

@ianhlake Yep, but what about -ktx dependencies. Correct me if I'm wrong, it seems that all extensions are written for views from 'old' support packages, it means they are unusable with androidX.
