Politic, cautious, and meticulous; full of high sentence, but a bit obtuse; at times, indeed, almost ridiculous— almost, at times, the Fool.

There are tons of data points showing how demoralized college grads are, but a few really caught my eye. The first is from the University of Michigan, which allows you to break out consumer sentiment by education level. data.sca.isr.umich.edu/demographic-ta… 4/

💸 Some Houston travelers are now paying strangers to wait in TSA lines for them. As IAH security delays drag on, a new side hustle is popping up around the airport. 🚨New paper on AI & Copyright 👨⚖️Courts have credited LLM companies' claims that safety alignment prevents reproduction of copyrighted expression. But what if fine-tuning on a simple writing task ruins it all? Worse : Fine-tuning on a single author's books (e.g., Murakami) unlocks verbatim recall of copyrighted books from 30+ unrelated authors, sometimes as high as 90%. Always fascinated how people in the middle ages for hundreds of years just lived amongst the ever decrepitating Roman ruins. It was just a part of daily life for them.

NEW: The Mamdani admin is going to announce the creation of an office for street vendors, which activist Carina Kaufman-Gutierrez will run. Carina told me weeks ago that this year is bringing the biggest changes for street vendors in NYC in 50 years. nytimes.com/2026/03/20/nyr…

We all know what some feel uncomfortable saying: Most taxes are WASTED. They are leaked and grifted into all kinds of programs that sound good on the surface. But that’s the lie that is told so politicians can take more of your earnings and dole it out to win votes and stay in power. But it also turns out that people aren’t stupid and know the game. So the states that admit this by breaking away from the hamster wheel of increased taxation are winning. While those who continue to try and sell the lie are losing. At the limit, those losing states are leaking so much revenue that they will eventually lose so much tax revenue as to be effectively insolvent. Remember this data is just from 2023…we are in mid 2026 so another two years of this trend is already in the books.
