@DickoJohn Traditionally St.George have done better with an outside coach than an old boy. Hornby was my favourite ever player, not sure I want that ruined…not sure many could have success at the Club, unless given full control of the Football Department, like Bennett was.

Both clubs that went broke multiple times, one kicked out of the competition and the other only saved by bailouts and then Super League, who has bungled the sell-off and rebuild of the Stadium.

I can see why the Cows were happy to have Holmes off their books, he started well last year but then started to fall away and unfortunately did his shoulder. However this year he’s been phoning it in. Time for him to put in some big performances.

Rather than stick with the congested Sydney market which is clearly uninterested in them (crowds & junior numbers tell a story), go all in on the Illawarra. Plenty of juniors, room for sponsors, growing region. Get back in touch with the community.
