@sygfff15 Because it’s nonsense, the M23 doesn’t go to Brighton or anywhere near Selhurst Park where Crystal Palace play. Both sets of fans never refer to this match as the M23 Derby, the term is only used by journalists, tv commentators and fans of other teams that have heard it on tv.

I asked Greg Chappell for his autograph in 1975 when the Aussies played at Hove. “You’ve got no chance sonny”, he said “So you might as well go home and play with yourself”. Classless then, classless as a captain too in 1981. Marsh, Lillee, Gilmour and others all great.

@KieranMaguire My mate tells a similar story waiting to get Botham’s autograph probably late 70’s early 80’s. Nasty, arrogant man couldn’t spare 2 seconds to sign his name for a young kid who’d waited hours. Tells you everything you need to know about the man rather than the player.
