Instead, my wife and I moved to Alberta. If enough decent, honest people do the same, we can vote for independence and actually make it happen. It's more realistic than many might believe. To those of you who are choosing the US: I completely understand, and might've done the same under different circumstances. To those who can't: Canada is finished. The sooner you internalize that fact, the better. The place I grew up in has become one of quiet desperation, crime, unrecognizable cultural environs, and unmitigated decline. After a decade of abusive and inept government, the electorate voted for more. The country cannot course correct, confederation is fundamentally broken. Join me in Alberta, and let's make this place a sovereign, free, and prosperous, little beacon of civilization and hope.
