A quick update regarding the @sophon node sale It's come to my attention that a lot of folks were weary of the node sale and questioning the technical legitimacy of what we were doing, and thus of the overall project. My fault for not explaining this better in our docs - I highlighted this in my previous post but let's go over things again. The last thing I would want is for folks to feel confused and shy away from what I think is going to be a pretty dope platform. We've been moving super fast and although these things were super obvious to us it's clear we could've done a better job at making it as obvious for our community. What am I really buying when buying a “node”? So far 121'000 nodes have been purchased; obviously that does not mean there will be 121'000 validators on Sophon 🙃 You would be buying an ERC-721 token, which will allow you to: - Earn Sophon tokens 20% of the total token supply will be emitted to node license holders over the first 36 months after Sophon mainnet launches - Participate in the validation of the Sophon network When Sophon launches as an L2 validium rollup using the @zksync codebase, there will be a single centralised sequencer (as is the case in the L2 space currently). Node license holders will be able to delegate their licenses to the node operator and earn their share of network fees. These holders will also be able to participate in the functioning of Sophon, for instance by indexing the chain or by running a light node with the DA layer we use. In the future, if and when the Matter Labs team will decentralise their consensus, node licenses will be required to operate the network - whether in a PoA or PoS setup. So no, Sophon doesn’t need 200k nodes to operate, you don’t need to actively run a node; you can simply delegate and reap the rewards for it. Furthermore, the node licenses that are unsold and unused when the sale ends won't come into circulation and will be burned. Conclusion It's vital for me to make it super clear that Sophon is being built as a community-focused entertainment chain. Early adopters that form the core community are the most important part of any project, and my goal is to provide value to them. The funds raised are not for the runway - we raised $10m from top investors for this. Instead funds will sit in the Sophon Foundation where they will be earmarked for the development of the ecosystem, including through grants and other incentives We will use this money to build cool shit, innovate, fund projects and make strategic partnerships - always with the goal of delivering value to our core community. As a crypto-native user myself, I know exactly what it means to risk funds on a new project and the value of transparency from the founder. There are so many cool things we will announce over the coming weeks and months that I can't wait to share. I hope this post clarifies any doubts on Sophon or the node sale. 好多人问我这个是什么意思，给大家拆解一下这个瓜。 简单说就是大哥用转移了自己的 Runes 代币到另一个地址，并用某个钱包进行了 merge, 导致他的 Runes 代币被融到了一个巨大的 UTXO 上。 随后大哥去 UniSat 的交易市场，把这坨携带 Runes 代币的巨大 UTXO (价值 0.23 BTC) 顺利挂单。 结局是被蹲在 mempool 里的机器人们疯狂争抢，进行了 10 轮 RBF 大战才拿下。大哥以为自己卖的是 Runes代币，实际上是贱卖了自己的 0.23 BTC😂 UniSat 也没有推锅，他说这事我们要负 1/3 的责任，这部分主要在，你挂这么大 UTXO 的单的时候没有尽到提醒义务，所以我们愿意赔付你 1/3 的损失。 --------- 吃瓜吃完了，重点： 1. 不要用不成熟或者过于高级的钱包进行一些非常规操作，可能会烧符文/铭文，或者弄丢资产。 2. 挂单的时候多检查一下 input, 看看是不是你要卖的那个符文。 3. 这个不是符文协议本身的缺点，而且只要你不进行一些神奇的操作，理论上是遇不到这种情况的，别慌。 正常的转移过程中，UniSat/OKX 钱包的默认 output 值都是 546 聪，不会形成巨大 UTXO
