Might we see Tony Finau go with a long putter this week? Been working with a @PingTour PLD broom that was built for him by principal design engineer Tony Serrano. Finau told me he spent about 45 minutes getting the upper hand in a position that felt comfortable. Hasn’t used a long putter before. There’s a first time for everything.

@drewdamn87 @JackDuffin Why would a team take even value at the top of the draft when they have the leverage of the higher pick and trading out of that pick would mean they likely no longer get on of their top targets? Thats why it’s a clown offer that makes no sense

11 months ago, Cameron Young needed to survive a 5-man playoff just to get through U.S. Open Final Qualifying. Now, he’s very clearly one of the top 5 players in the world. What a turnaround.

Look, I love Cam Young's game, and he seems like a good guy. Cam Young was born on 2nd. The son of a club pro in one of the best courses on the East Coast. He had every opportunity and resource available to him to go do this. Something that is available to about .5% of golfers on the planet.

The Catholic from New York. The quiet family man. The gold cross dangling over buttons that have never been touched. The MLB logo on the collar. The hat hair most men would chop a finger off for. The FJ Classics. Cameron Young is America. 🦅

Behind-the-scenes look at the #Cowboys’ Stephen Jones and #Eagles GM Howie Roseman negotiating the trade that allowed Philly to move up to No. 20 and draft WR Makai Lemon. Dallas wanted Philly to call so they initiate the talks. (🎥 @NFL)

Going to piggyback off of @FlatironFlusher here. Stuff like this is completely unacceptable and unnecessary. “Oh my gosh we won! Let me spike the pin into the green.” Also, the person who spiked the pin into the green is wearing an upside down AUGUSTA hat. It tracks. #SHRINK
Flatiron Flusher@FlatironFlusher

Golf "creators" are ruining competitive golf. It's one thing to film yourself shooting 82, it's another to invite your cameraman ONTO the green, DURING PLAY. It’s intrusive, disrespectful, and a distraction your playing partners didn’t agree to. Embarrassing behavior.

It goes without saying that there will be zero investor interest in funding LIV Golf in its current form. Maybe they try to run a skeleton operation — no guaranteed contracts, less prize money — but Saudi Arabia spent $5.3 billion over five years and has nothing to show for it.
The Wall Street Journal@WSJ

LIV plans to tell players and staff by Thursday that Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund would end its funding for the upstart league. But the PGA Tour isn’t yet ready to welcome back those who jumped ship. on.wsj.com/3OVF13Z

This is why drafting a LB in Round 1 is such a tough proposition. Campbell is everything that the Lions could have hoped for… But he’ll now be an UFA next year.
Ari Meirov@MySportsUpdate

The #Lions are declining the fifth-year option on All-Pro LB Jack Campbell, per @DanMillerFox2. The option for Campbell was worth nearly $22M, which no off-ball linebacker currently makes. All linebackers—both OLBs and ILBs—are grouped together for the option formula, creating a unique situation similar to what the #Ravens faced with Tyler Linderbaum as a center. Campbell now is set to be a free agent next year, barring an extension.

The #Cowboys were a playoff team in 2022 and selected Mazi Smith and Luke Schoonmaker during the 2023 draft. Smith: 26th (49th on consensus) Schoonmaker: 56th (100th on consensus) Those two picks were a big reason why the Cowboys dropped off so quickly in 2024 and 2025.
Peter Schrager@PSchrags

One big talking point from this Draft is the teams that took their guys and trusted "their" boards vs "consensus". Bears, Rams, Jags, and most notably -- 49ers -- had the largest Deltas between their picks and where the Consensus Big Boards listed. All playoff teams in '25. 🤷🏼‍♂️

So… we will still have bad teams with no incentive to win, and we’ll add more teams saying at the end of the year: “You know what, we aren’t good enough to win in the playoffs, so let’s gamble for the No. 1 pick.” This really doesn’t solve anything.
NBACentral@TheDunkCentral

The NBA could expand the lottery to 18 teams, per @sam_amick “according to league and team sources, a heavy frontrunner has emerged among the three proposed solutions to curb the widespread tanking problem that put such a stain on this season: Option No. 1, in which 18 teams would be part of the draft lottery (rather than the current 14) and the bottom 10 teams would all have an 8 percent chance of landing the No. 1 pick. The remaining odds — 20 percent in all — would be divided among the remaining eight teams. In the current system, the bottom three teams all have a 14 percent chance of landing the No. 1 pick and the odds decline from there.” (Via nytimes.com/athletic/72340…)

Cowboys LB DeMarvion Overshown, whose rookie contract expires after this season, now has hired agent David Mulugheta to represent him. Mulugheta represents, amongst others, Micah Parsons, George Pickens and now Overhsown.
