@RedNinetyFour Honestly worse case scenario for me. You have at most two year window. After those two years you’re just fucked

Giannis is significantly better than Alpi. He would’ve destroyed Ayton 1 on 1 and we probably win this series even without KD. And we probably win 60 games if Giannis/KD/FVV are healthy. But cashing in all our assets for an injured 31 year old on the decline feels so pointless.

@freewrlld For you to understand, playing without Pg, getting ball at the 3point line as a center, no one knows how to play PnR with center, trying to play 1vs3 against any team and your shooters usually sucks like 1/10 from 3point line, so there is no threat at perimeter line. Need more?

@JacksonNBA6 @BiasedHouston 21 with limited experience. Smart is still a very good defender. Putting all ball handling on a young players that been pulled in and out all year. He’s going to have down moments

Reed Sheppard just don’t got it today. I’ll cut him some bail as this is his first season getting actual minutes, let alone first time in the playoffs. We are seeing the consequences of giving Reed an inconsistent role all season long. Must be better next season.

With the current proposed lottery rules, the Orlando Magic would have a 2.7% chance at the first pick They’re up 3-1 on the first seed right now NBA what are we doing

KD and Jabari Smith Jr. should be the only untouchables for the Rockets in the offseason. They should be shopping everyone else.

One of Alpi and Amen is just going to have to learn to shoot. We’ll see if it ever happens. Or maybe Alpi is just traded, which is a strong possibility. His value will be at an all time low. There’s also the picks coming in 2027 for added hope. I would just sit tight tbh.

@JacksonNBA6 @BiasedHouston They put the best defender on him for a reason. Only dude that can run pick and roll. Crazy saying all this in his first real season.

@BiasedHouston You’re seeing Reed in a playoff setting. He’s unplayable in high stakes minutes. He only plays cuz rockets have no other offensive options. He wouldn’t even play on spurs or OKC cuz they have better 2 way options

So… we will still have bad teams with no incentive to win, and we’ll add more teams saying at the end of the year: “You know what, we aren’t good enough to win in the playoffs, so let’s gamble for the No. 1 pick.” This really doesn’t solve anything.
NBACentral@TheDunkCentral

The NBA could expand the lottery to 18 teams, per @sam_amick “according to league and team sources, a heavy frontrunner has emerged among the three proposed solutions to curb the widespread tanking problem that put such a stain on this season: Option No. 1, in which 18 teams would be part of the draft lottery (rather than the current 14) and the bottom 10 teams would all have an 8 percent chance of landing the No. 1 pick. The remaining odds — 20 percent in all — would be divided among the remaining eight teams. In the current system, the bottom three teams all have a 14 percent chance of landing the No. 1 pick and the odds decline from there.” (Via nytimes.com/athletic/72340…)

@StroudMerchant Stops teams tanking on purpose, bench your starters and not play players to lose hurts the game more than a bad team getting a high pick.

@Nerd_Sesh @Carsobi Oh no we aren’t rewarding teams that purposely bench players and not play starters. It’s harsh but it’s the BS bad teams deserve

Since Adam Silver took office, the NBA has: -introduced the repeater tax -flattened the lottery odds -enabled super max contracts (DVPE) -added a second apron -further restricted sign-and-trades -this proposal Never believe them when they say they care about small market teams.
Underdog NBA@UnderdogNBA

"Heavy frontrunner" has emerged among NBA's lottery reform plans, per @sam_amick: - 18 teams part of lottery (rather than current 14) - Bottom 10 teams all have 8% chance at no. 1 pick - Remaining 20% odds at no. 1 divided among other 8 teams Vote coming next month.

@the_haiden @BrettSiegelNBA This is just not true. Since the year 2000, five NFL wild card teams (seeds 5-7 in each conference) have won a title. In that same time span the lowest seeded NBA teams to win a title are the #3 seed.

@BrettSiegelNBA That’s not the issue. In every league 90% of teams know they can’t win the championship. The issue is teams getting compensated for losing by not playing starters or benching guys because they are playing well. This should stop the Jazz and Kings benching starters for better odds
