Let’s be very clear about what’s happened: the BMA knows this time of year is the most difficult for the NHS, knows there are particular pressures this year because of the flu variant, sees the impact this is having on hospitals, and said “Great, we’ll use this serious threat to patient safety as leverage by going on strike to boost our career prospects”. And people will die because of it. It shouldn’t be legal.

If you must know, I was going to a chemist with my daughter-in-law, to get some medicine for her unwell husband….my son. Hatred is a dreadful weakness.
