Not $42K. 4/ The sentiment tell: 2018 — "BTC going to zero" at $6K → bottomed at $3,200 2022 — "$10K inevitable" at $18K → bottomed at $15,500 2026 — "$42K incoming" at $62K → ? The consensus doom call ALWAYS overshoots. $42K is a 15% scenario. Respect it. Don't build your whole strategy around it. 6/ The cruelest trade in Bitcoin: Being right about direction. @glennhodl The truth is that holding Bitcoin is not easy. Only the top 1% of have the stomach for the never ending volatility, meaning Bitcoin has not yet matured as an investment asset. To thrive, you must be almost a psychopath, stacking SATS without any emotions.

I'll be honest - my own personal sentiment is about as low as it's ever been in the nearly 10yrs I've owned bitcoin. You shouldn't stare at the price week to week and month to month but obviously we do. If you bought bitcoin 5yrs ago you've got exactly the same return as the S&P 500. In exchange for an extreme amount of volatility that consisted of only a few comparatively short periods of real positivity. I do my best these days to just get on with life, and I'm sure in the end we'll be proven right. There's also something to be said for the resilience this teaches you - but I can't help thinking it'd be a whole lot easier just being a Boglehead S&P 500 Maxi.

Old rule: narrative follows price. We’re in the “Bitcoin is dead” phase of the script, eulogies, scam talk, and capitulation, right before the Clarity Act Bill is set to pass, a classic case of emotion and backward‑looking stories overpowering logic and forward policy reality. It’s textbook market psychology: price collapses first, emotion and narratives rush in to rationalize the move, and only later does the structural catalyst arrive that will, in hindsight, make this washout look like a fantastic buying opportunity.
