Hi I am RO for the BTO North East Yorkshire region and am looking to try and find some BBS surveyors for the north west corner of the region I cover. I think some of your members venture south west from your main area of operations and was wondering if anyone is interested.

Good to see that despite the virus issues some success has already been achieved by the Scarborough Swift group. Already have a number of boxes up and surveys have already started to find new nest sites. Well done to Richard Scullion for making and erecting the boxes.

The MAD'S (Make A Difference) volunteers were out in Lealholm at the weekend, clearing scrub from the edges of a species rich grassland, which contains over 60 species of wildflowers, rushes, sedges and grasses. Fancy volunteering? Get involved here 👉 buff.ly/30SF6aR

After an update to BBS Online, BBS and WBBS volunteers can now download their own BBS/WBBS data, along with the historic data for their sites. Ideal for feeding back data to landowners! Have an explore (app.bto.org/bbs/index.jsp) and thank you!! @_BTO @RSPBScience @JNCC_UK

Ash dieback is a fungal disease affecting ash trees across the UK. We have been working with our volunteers @YorksWildlife Grass Wood to tackle dead and dying ash along the paths to keep the site safe for visitors. Open areas will help woodland flowers and butterflies in spring.

Our members and supporters funded over 50 Barn Owl boxes five years ago. Built by @GFutureBuilding and installed by volunteers and staff across Yorkshire, all are still providing safe breeding and roosting sites for Barn Owls, Kestrels and other species. #FridayFeeling

This scrape was put in at Low Carr Farm nr Pickering several years ago and today held three Jack Snipe and at least a dozen Snipe. Wet corners like this are disappearing from the landscape, so we're trying to put some back to help our wildlife. #NatureRecoveryNetwork

@ddbirder @NorthantsBTO @_BTO Hi @ddbirder, Derbyshire is split into two BTO Regions for administrative purposes, please see some graphs for Turtle Dove and Blackcap. Note, there haven't been any TD recorded on Derbyshire North squares to date and I have excluded 2001 data as coverage was limited.🙂
