I found this hilarious. I believe there is some truth in it. I’ve spoken to many students in the last few years that see our school system the same way.

@justintarte Different environments, different backgrounds, different access to education etc etc requires ideas from that school, it’s families. One size does not fit all. Some retakes help and some should not happen & teaches the wrong lesson.

@justintarte @tbell34 I 100% disagree with this universal statement. It is not always that simple. Every students situation must be dealt with individually. Some should be given a re-do & some not, some partial. Not right for a Dr. to make such a blanket statement. So many factors are always involved.

Allowing a student to retake an assessment for full credit says to the student you believe in them and their ability to do better. It says your learning is my goal.
