Kids who don’t throw hard when they play catch…don’t throw hard. Kids who aren’t fast, won’t get much faster without running. Hitters hit. If you wanna be a college hitter, show that you can hit the dudes & not just the scrubs. With ❤️ but we gotta keep it real.

Every coach that has written a lineup knows it can “change” things. Culture, confidence is at risk. You’re forced to rank players. Yet, it has to be done. The game requires it. Every parent loves their children but they’re never forced to rank them. Imagine if… #perspective

PLAYERS: Before you question your playing time, honestly evaluate how you're using your practice time. Make sure that you're bringing energy, enthusiasm, and a team-first mentality to practice. Build good habits in practice. Find ways to be valuable. Make your teammates better.

If you’re serious about ⚾️ (& not playing a winter sport) you should be: -Living in the weight room & cage right now. -Tracking your weight & what you eat. -Killing it in the classroom. -Setting weekly, monthly & 3-month goals. -Following a schedule each day. Hope this helps!

Simple Formula for Becoming a Winner (HS Edition): -Outwork everyone. -Notice what “everyone” else does, then DON’T do that. Don’t: -Eat what “everyone” eats. -Stay up til they stay up, get up when they get up. -Only work when they do. Learn to separate yourself from the crowd.

PARENTS: When you blame other things (officials, coaches, conditions, circumstances, teammates) for the situation your son or daughter is in, then you're essentially teaching your child how to be an excuse maker.

PLAYERS: Discipline doesn't have to be a negative thing. Champions see discipline as an opportunity to get better. They see it as a necessary part to the growth process. Losers resent it b/c they see it as punishment. Discipline yourself and others won't have to discipline you.

Thought... why do we consider K'ing swinging to be better than K'ing looking? Both of them are K's and both are registered as an out. Also, you probably K'ed swinging chasing a pitch trying to "protect" so why is that better?

Stephen Vogt did early blocking drills before a game he wasn’t catching the day before retiring FOREVER. Aroldis Chapman missed a team workout before a playoff series. No amount of money or success will EVER be a substitute for character. This is addition by subtraction.

Players: It’s not about big jumps in progress, or miraculously figuring things out. Show up & work. Consistent improvements, no matter how small, each day/week/month are how players separate themselves from the pack.
