4th graders using base-ten blocks to explore tenths and hundredths shows why concrete learning matters. When students can see and touch decimals, they build real understanding before moving to abstract numbers. The Sun Blaze Dance Team represented with excellence! Out of 130+ elementary schools across OCPS, we were one of only seven elementary schools to participate. Our dancers were absolutely AMAZING! Special shout-out to four of our dancers (Ethan, Emily, Sofia, Carmela) who earned a spot on the All County Elementary Dance Team — what an incredible honor! 🧡🔥 Thank you to Ms. Towle and @miss_raleigh for leading the dancers with style and grace! @rmccloe @BWorrell_ @YJHwang_OCPS

Our students put their engineering skills to the test—dodging marshmallows launched from homemade catapults! 😄 Through creativity and a whole lot of problem-solving, students explored science, technology, engineering, art, and math in a hands-on, unforgettable way. Throw back Thursday to when our upper and lower grade students teamed up as cross-aged buddies to create festive holiday crafts together.
