Yesterday was the first time favorites won every game outright in a single day of the opening round of the NCAA tournament since 1992. (16-0). Also, the average margin of victory in the first round was 17.4 points, the highest since the tournament expanded in 1985 (per ESPN Research).

NCAA tournament favorites are 12-0 straight-up through UCLA's win. The last time favorites went undefeated on a single day in the Round of 64 was March 19, 1992. Last time going 15-1 was March 15, 2007, per ESPN Research.

Alabama’s Aden Holloway has been removed from campus in the wake of his arrest, the school announced, and is not going to be with the team as the UA Office of Student Conduct investigates his case. He’ll be off the team until he goes through the school’s investigation process.

BUBBLE RESULT: Tennessee 72, Auburn 62 Auburn now has 16 losses & is just one game above .500. It would be a historic FIRST if a team w/ that profile made the NCAA tournament, and it's a leap the selection committee has never made. Good metrics, elite SOS, but so many losses.
