In a strong show of solidarity, I received distinguished leaders on a courtesy visit at my office as I resumed official duties at the Energy Commission of Nigeria (ECN). The delegation, led by Prince Ade Omole and joined by Dr. Dayo Israel, Dr. Mohammed Malah, and Dr. Adewale Akinyele, reaffirmed their confidence in my leadership and commitment to national service under the Renewed Hope Agenda. I appreciate their support and the continued trust of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in young professionals contributing to nation-building. This further strengthens my resolve to remain focused on delivering impactful energy solutions for Nigeria’s progress. __DAM

Renewable energy is essential for a sustainable future, providing clean and reliable power through sources such as solar, wind, and hydro energy. The Energy Commission of Nigeria continues to promote renewable energy development and energy efficiency to support economic growth, reduce pollution, and improve energy access across the country. By encouraging the adoption of clean energy solutions, the Energy Commission of Nigeria is helping Nigeria build a healthier environment and a more secure energy future for generations to come. This week, let us support clean and sustainable energy practices to create a greener, safer, and more prosperous nation. #RenewableEnergy __DAM

At the @RenewedHopeUK Global Tour in Cotonou, I had the privilege of contributing to a critical conversation on Nigeria’s energy future and its role in regional development. The engagement provided a strong platform to highlight ongoing efforts at the Energy Commission of Nigeria towards expanding access to clean, reliable, and sustainable energy, with particular emphasis on solarisation and innovation-driven solutions. It was also a valuable opportunity to engage with policymakers, development partners, and investors on how energy remains central to economic growth, regional integration, and the delivery of the Renewed Hope Agenda. Grateful for the recognition and the continued opportunity to serve in advancing Nigeria’s energy transformation and shared prosperity across the sub-region. __DAM

UPDATE: Freshman forward Danielle Osho of the Miami Hurricanes women's basketball has indicated in a chat with me that she would be open to representing Nigeria’s women’s national team, D’Tigress, in the future, although the young prospect is currently focused on her development at the collegiate level. She could also be eligible to represent Nigeria at the FIBA U19 Women's Basketball World Cup expected to take place in China next year if Nigeria qualifies, as she is currently 18 years old. The 18-year-old stands at 6-foot-1 and committed to Miami ahead of several programs including Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets women's basketball, Mississippi State Bulldogs women's basketball, Vanderbilt Commodores women's basketball, Auburn Tigers women's basketball and Pittsburgh Panthers women's basketball. Osho is regarded as a long-term prospect with good size, athleticism and versatility on the wing, qualities that could be valuable for Nigeria in the future. #ballchatwithkenny

EXCLUSIVE! Bukky Akinsola opens up about the possibility of playing for Nigeria’s D’Tigress, saying she would be open to representing the country if the opportunity presents itself. In a recent conversation with me, Bukky Akinsola said she would welcome the chance to play for Nigeria, although no official approach has been made at this time. The Newark-born guard is known for her pace, athleticism, and energy on both ends of the floor, qualities that fit the profile of players the D’Tigress program continues to look out for as it builds for the future. Akinsola remains focused on her development but would be honoured to represent Nigeria if the opportunity comes. #ballchatwithkenny
